With the recent New Moon we ushered in the Lunar New Year tradition of the next animal to be our inspiration for the year. This year as most of my readers already know is the year of the Wood Yang Dragon. As i work with Traditional East Asian medicine and acupuncture, I am very keen on how to balance the wood element. You can use these acupuncture points to help regulate some of the extra ‘angst’ and tension that comes with the surging forth of life (or the life that tries to push through the blockages and stagnancies created from non-movement). I wish it were as simple as just doing just these two points, but people are complex and it takes time to do a full assessment and intake. For now, may this be helpful and serve you in your year with the Yang Wood Dragon. Sending you all the blessings for an auspicious New Year.

This is very helpful, Ka. In EMYoga we use the sound “Shhhh” when clearing the wood element.
Thank you so much for adding, Alethea! For some reason this comment was stuck in pending! We have very similar sounds we use in Taoist Qi Gong as well! 💗🌟🙏🏼💕
Happy Year of the Dragon Ka… and thank you for those tips you have given us.. Love and blessings back Ka…. xxx ❤
I love that dragon! It reminds me that many years ago I used to create with ink and watercolor. Maybe I’ll get my watercolor pencils out. I get acupuncture about once a month and notice it seems to help more as time goes on. I guess my partitioner is learning my body, and my body is learning acupuncture. Peace and blessings to you, Ka.
Absolutely! Acupuncture is such a beautiful process. My longest term clients make the biggest results over time. It’s so much fun because we end up working on everything eventually. lol! Yes also absolutely to your body learning acupuncture—spoken from experience! The wellness deepens as you gain more awareness through the work of the needles and as your body responds to them with what it needs. Love that you’ll get out your watercolors! 🎨🖌️
I love Accupunture! Thanks Ka this is great to know 🤗
Yes I have been a doctor of acupuncture since 2022. Of course I practiced in the clinics well before I graduated and started my own practice! 😃

Happy New Year – Ka….
I do acupuncture on myself all the time….wonderful 🙂
I think you must mean acupressure! But yes! The best, very very good for you. Becoming a doctor of Chinese medicine and herbalism is the best gift I ever gave myself. 💖💖💖
Sorry I see this comment now. Messages can end up getting stuck and then I find them later! Such is the technology of things..!
Hugs and love your way 💕
Yes Ka. I do mean acupressure….I find that it helps enormously…..
My dear father used acupuncture during the last years of his life, and wished that he had. come to it earlier. Better late then never.
Thank you XX
I can’t believe this comment got lost. I have so many apologies because of the technology and the user of the technology (me) we somehow got this message lost. It makes me sad because I had no idea.
And then I have to laugh. The last comment I found was on my poem with the topic,”patient hum” and then now I am reflecting on your words for your father “better late than never” about getting to the acupuncture in the last years of his life. I agree so many should come to it earlier!!!! Like ART! It’s with us. The acupuncture is helping bring more awareness into the massive creative and healing potential of the body!!
So I’m so glad I am seeing this comment now. Lots of love to your dad (and you). Maybe more posts on him soon? I love the medicine I get to practice as acupuncture is one of my many healing and science ARTS I get to help people get relief and so much more!!! My next dream is for my paintings or installation or multimedia art (when I do them again (better late than never!!)) WILL DO the same for other people!!! My art has been salve for my soul. Salvation and redemption and then just simple breath-work and grunt work, birthing creation!
Thank YOU so much for your comment!!! ♥️
I love receiving your comments whenever they choose to arrive in my box:):). It’s bed time here….and so I will now go to sleep with a big smile on my face…..XXXXXX
Awh I did also got to sleep with a big smile on my face! 😃✨💗🫂
No apologies necessary. As I said before – better late than never…..:)XXX

message does wonders to aid the body. Thank you for sharing
dear Ka. Have a marvelous day
I am water Dragon
Thanks Ka, yes, Li 4 is a handy point for several ailments. Have tried LR 3 for hypertension with good results. Good to know they help clear blockages.
Combining these points has a synergistic affect. This is known as the 4 gates. Each point has more than one function even on its own.
