What speaks to me this day is the energy of ego surrender. I’m feeling it really strongly. It’s crunchy; it’s challenging. The discomfort manifests in different ways as I watch and observe it.

Nevertheless, I feel like it is the good work. As I settle into my experience, allowing it full expression unto myself, I am filled with a sense of gratitude for another up-leveling and uplifting of my consciousness. May you find that peace in your own skin, as you work with your own caring desires and heart-felt allegiances.

A client had lost a dear pet recently, and the grieving is real. You can see it manifest in the body as we gently heal and allow the grief to be present. Let us offer energetic support and space for the moving of the soul.

Please be tender and kind with yourselves. This is a reminder I give myself as well.

I did a quick sketch of a seahorse as an interlude to my hectic day, as I have less time than I thought I would at this time.

Each domain of my life where I started something (which is many) is expanding and that has meant that I’m having trouble getting to the blog.

This blog has been my great love since 2011 so it’s not going to disappear, but I have to accept the fact that, some things just get put aside until there’s energy and focus time that is appropriate for them.

My calendar is pretty booked in the fall too, so I hope to make it back here intermittently, as well as before the holidays. I really want to do a run of “sketching” and more “art” and since I’ve given my blog to that, I will occasionally just write about the energies and/or astrology and a brief update if inspired to, but not able to commit to a sketch challenge or project like I was hoping to, and cannot work on my poetry manuscript until the kitchen remodel and a few of the major projects and family business stuff has become more settled.

We had Mercury/Sun Cazimi (conjunction) this morning. Is anyone not busy? lol 😂 go ahead and chime in!

I had the dream of doing more art, “For Art’s Sake” in June. This was the inspiration for my title for my first poetry book, “Art for Art,” published in 2017. This publication had so much spiritual energy in it as it felt born directly from the Reiki I had been working with since 2007.

Now, I find myself in 2024, quite tired, involved in so many different trainings and groups, having an elaborate daily practice that I often only end up having the time to do only one of 4 main parts of. Having started with so much momentum in so many different areas/domains of life, I made “healing and nurturing energy” my priority—and didn’t put so much emphasis on form.

Now, today. I find myself at a crossroads. I want to keep the momentum I gained in April from writing a poem every day, and work on the manuscript for my second poetry book during the rest of this year. I also want to draw in (pun intended) more tangible, visual art explorations.

So, this much I have begun! Here it is. We are beginning, at an unknown pace! Like a dance that starts with wiggling or shifting weight from leg to leg. Let’s see we happens!

June’s New Moon is in Gemini. ♊️

If your mind is going a mile a minute and you’re not sure where to put your focus: you are in good company! If in doubt, and there’s plenty of that: laugh. 🤣

Why do we even look for guarantees anyways? Are we aiming to protect ourselves from the very life that keeps us engaged, excited, and motivated? Human nature is a curious thing among more curious things such as nature; and aren’t we still nature? 🤣 I know I am!

I have a meditation for this New Moon, it’s called: let your cells drink from the energy of the universe! You can do this in your silence of your wild self! Today and tomorrow I am setting off as the fool on the journey, Tarot card 1. I am embracing my imperfections, my unfinished messy middle. I am embracing my chattering mind, my chatting mouth, and my sheer fatigue that makes me feel punch drunk on most days. I am taking myself exactly as I am and saying “I choose me.” I choose me for this task, for this rest, for this moment. I choose me to drink up the energy of the universe and experiment with time and magic. I choose me to embrace, however way I show up.
