“My session with Ka was outstanding. Let me first say she is a warm, hearted, spiritually intuitive and empathic healer with a vast knowledge of the human body and its energy. The session started off with her warm(very warm) healing hands on my neck feeling and massaging me. I asked for neck and lower back work. She did work my neck and back with a massage that was very soothing a healing. During this time she picked up on the fact that I should be getting cranial sacral work as my occipital area on the lower portion of head, connection to neck was out of balance and so was my lower back, sacrum area. I had many issues in these two places for a lot of years and had them worked but, never thought about trying cranial sacral. Ka did a little cranial sacral energy healing which felt amazing. I felt her hands heat up instantly and radiate in my body. She also picked up that I had grief in some of my lung points, which I did. My step-dad who raised me since I was one had passed away just 6 weeks before. She messaged me that he wanted my forgiveness and love. She went down to check on my hips and sciatic area. They are out of alignment too and have been for years from injuries from earlier years. She worked on some points in my sciatic and low back area which gave me a lot of relief and made me sleep much better right away. When I turned over she asked if she could work on my arms. I usually say no and want what I want but, this time I said yes. Oh how I needed that healing touch. I was a massage therapist for over ten years and those arms still needed to be loved up as well as my hands, so that was ever so healing to me. Also a great reminder that I needed to take care of my arms and hands more. She worked on my face, which felt so good, as a healer myself I know how much tension we can carry in our face. She gently rubbed my head after to allow all the energy and tension to drip off of me. She did let all the energy go on both sides of my body by an energetic cleanse, swipe which felt especially good off my arms and legs and head. I canโ€™t wait till I have my next session to see what else she discovers about my body and how I can treat it better in between sessions. I believe with each session she will dive further and further into me and do great healing.”

  1. You are right where you were meant to be…studying the Universe and looking to the future rather than digging up the bones of history. Thank you for visiting and following my blog…I will be back to read more of yours.

  2. LadyBlueRose's Thoughts Into Words

I was writing a reply to your wonderful words and wondered why I don’t get notifications
from your blog…when I click on the backdoor part of my blog it says I am following but when I came here I am not…that would be why..I apologize, I am more than a little computer challenged
now I am following ๐Ÿ™‚ I will check back again tonight to make sure it stays…

I enjoyed reading about you here..I took astrology for two years…I haven’t been active at in awhile…..so I will have fun wandering through your thoughts on it….maybe it will refresh my memories on the houses and planets….I love Tarot card readings with someone who has knowledge of astrology…I always feel they see much more than just hearing the whispers of the cards…one day I will try to entwine them…

now back to my thoughts on your thoughts!
    Take Care…You Matter…

    1. Thank you for visiting me here, Maryrose! Please feel free to wander, meditate with me, enjoy some silence sometimes, whatever moves you. You are welcome to come and go as you please. I like the conversation we’ve sparked, and who knows where it will go?

      Happy Wandering, Ka ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Paula! Hello! ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you for visiting and following my blog, also. Yes, I’m somewhat well-traveled. I was drawn to your beautiful golden retriever. Growing up my family had a beloved golden retriever named Maggie. She was my “sister,” as I was just a little thing when she was a puppy. My heart misses having a good situation (the space) to have another furry, live-in family friend. Blessings! I’m looking forward to learning more about you from your blog. ~Ka

  3. Hi Ka (is that what you like to be called?),
I think you did a great job with your page. We have lots in common and you leave the reader ( me) wanting to know more. I especially dug the first paragraph and the section about the star party. I also got into astrology at a very early age ( about 7 or so). You have an exciting unique story ๐Ÿ™‚

    xx Linda

    1. Hello Linda,

Yes, you can call me Ka. ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for asking, and for coming on over to my blog and visiting my new ‘about’ section. I knew we had a lot in common… ๐Ÿ™‚ the paragraph of your ‘my story’ where you talk about what brings you joy… wow… & Jazz! I’ve been enjoying that, too! Ella Fitzgerald, and more! I LOVE that paragraph. So, let’s look up at the stars, and have ourselves a Star Party ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you, Ka

  4. Hi Ka ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope that I find you well and enjoying your weekend?

I must thank you for such a heart-warming response to my short post on your site. I am very touched by your generous words, thank you Ka. And it is entirely my pleasure to be here with you this evening on your well-appointed site. Thank you also for visiting my Blog and for taking the time to read Self-Determination and Out of this World. I hope you enjoy the reading of both as I hope your Snow Leopard associating friend does as well….I look forward to meeting them in the high Himalayan peaks.

I’d not normally read someone’s About Me response before I read their Blog…I find it can sometimes determine in advance the feeling I get whilst engaging with their material. I was however fascinated by the Blog name and really wanted to know a little more about the author/ess. And so I started to read, and from the opening paragraph alone I was intrigued to know more about you. I must be honest and say that I am fascinated by your accomplishments and the dedication and devotion that you have shown to arrive at your level of competency. I would be most interested to hear of your experiences with Reiki…it is something that I have encountered only once in my life and the occasion proved a colourful and very relaxing experience whilst I was ‘tuned’. Equally as interesting to me is your degree subject. That’s quite a combination of subjects to have studied, but I can appreciate how they work together. Curiously I have a Degree in Animation and Film but have never practiced outside of university: perhaps this is as a consequence of performing miserably in my filmic endeavours and obtaining my degree largely on the grades I achieved for my course work and the submission of a successful final year dissertation. I do however enjoy my art and always seek the time to pursue it.

It is clear to me that you are a lady with fortitude and determination, and an individual with an immense passion for what you do. These attributes have obviously served you well, this is a great site. I’ve no doubt that you are proud of your achievements. Obvious to me as well is the honesty and integrity with which you write. Your style is balanced and rhythmical with just the right depth of feeling to foreground the gentleness of your spirit. I also found an understated ‘wisdom’ shining from within About Me, a sense of ‘knowing’ or ‘gnosis’ as it might be called. It is something that one seldom comes across in people and is therefore a little difficult to explain other than to suggest it would be seen in the shining eyes of a person who is at peace and full of the love of spirit.

There are several sentences that you have written in About Me that are beautifully descriptive, but my favourite set are these: โ€œThere is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.โ€ We all have a story. We all have an astrological chart. So, for now, Iโ€™m celebrating the sweet agony of untold stories. It is a beautifully poetic way of allowing the writer in you to have a voice.

Thank you Ka for providing your readership with a well put together posting, I feel much closer now to the authoress who writes under the name of Star Party. Que No Pare La Fiesta! Please know that I would be delighted to have you visit my young blog site whenever you feel so inclined. Your presence there will only encourage me further to pursue my own endeavours with a little more vigour. And as you are a tutor of English, I should also brush up on my writing skills and particularly my grammar, or lack of it! I’d be welcoming of your comment at any stage, when one writes, it often feels as if one ploughs alone, so all feedback would be gratefully received.

Being that this is my first proper visit to your well informed site, I’ve taken the opportunity to spend some time getting better acquainted with it…and there are some deliciously insightful posts to read, and several of these I will come back to as well as they will serve as a great source of reference. It is quite evident that you have studied hard to achieve such deep knowledge in your subject material. Your writing is concise and sufficiently descriptive to leave the reader well versed, and woven between those individual words a very real sense of the importance of your subject matter to you on a personal level. The range of your knowledge and your whole approach to Astrology is quite special and informative. I may become a little lost with some of the technical aspects included in your work, but it does not detract from your skill in the craft or my appreciation of it…in fact it inspires me to look a little deeper at my own level of knowledge and try and improve! And to that end, I’ve recently purchased a book called The Anatomy of Fate – Kabbalistic Astrology by Warren Kenton. I’m not quite certain what inspired its choice but sometimes when I visit a book shop I simply allow a book or two to choose me. Often in the past such a method has thrown up some quite unexpected titles! But all reading is I think an opportunity to broaden the mind and appreciate the diversity and beauty of our fellow man.

I shall read further and return often to your Blog. It is a rich source of information and presented with care and consideration, and that in itself says a lot about the type of person you are. Thank you so much for making me feel welcome here. ๐Ÿ™‚

P.S: I’m glad that you ‘found’ me on Bluebutterfliesandme. I do so enjoy the connections and friendships that blogging bring about. It helps to make the world a much smaller and more intimate place to spend this lifetime. Perhaps I shall meet you on there as well as here. I’ll look forward to it. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Hello Dewin,

Thank you for giving Fiesta Estrella a lot of thought and consideration. I did spend quite some time writing my “about” section; and, I do feel like it can always be improved upon.

I find that I require many, many edits even during my writing process to be able to communicate what I intend.

My interest in ESL arrived at an early age, too. My grandmother only had a second grade education in Italy, when she arrived in the U.S. at age 17. She worked in a sewing mill all her life, and so English was hugely challenging for her. As a result, I developed compassion for her struggle, as well as I have considered how language can be used creatively.

In fact, I prefer the creative use of language, as along as communication can still be achieved. Therefore, I am not a grammarian. At the same time, I am very educationally oriented, and aim to continue to improve within my own style (Mercury trine Uranus).

Thank you for your kind comments, and your appreciation for my style, and my humble attempts at communicating.

  5. HI Ka,

I admire the respect you have for all things and the honest intention with which you embrace your goals. It was not at all apparent that you may feel a little uncertain in your writing talent. In fact it was quite the opposite. Your academic prowess shines through your writing as much as the creativity, and that is a gift that you should never want to lose. You are also wonderfully creative! Your site is a testament to your creative vision…how else would it have come about if not as first being a thought?

I enjoyed the brief historical narrative in your reply that was your source of inspiration for ESL. It is our heritage of course that has placed us where we are life and often that offers a hugely rich resource from which to draw upon and help release the true worth of our potential creativity.

I was going to ask you if you’d ever written any poetry when I just received a notification that you’d posted a poem! How coincidental ๐Ÿ™‚ (Since visiting amongst you all the number of coincidences I come across rises daily…it is quite bewildering and very curious indeed!) I have a friend who is a well regarded Welsh poet, and it was he that prompted me to try writing as a pastime. I would love to have his ability to reduce down an experience that I’d need a hundred words to describe in to just one sentence. Such distillation of thought is a gift I think, but it is a mechanism that one can try to adopt and work about achieving. I know that I must work harder at it. If you’d like to view some of his work he occasionally Blogs at the following address: http://p47sj.wordpress.com/ In addition, one of his short poems was set to music, it is one of my favourites: https://soundcloud.com/paul-steffan-jones/bombstar When talking with him the other day we discussed briefly rewriting work as we proceed. He admitted to me that there are occasions when he is quite happy to read for an audience and recite from the raw text rather than the modified version. I think the suggestion was that one reaches a point where an address of the experience becomes dissolved by too much change. But I guess this depends on what one’s goal is eg: technical writing or emotive/creative writing.

Lastly, am I correct in considering as a Virgo, my Astrological ruling deity is Mercury, otherwise known as Hermes otherwise known as Thoth? I do hope this is correct or I’ve just wasted the last 15 years of my life believing this to be true ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m led to believe that Hermes is credited with bring the gift f language to man. So if that is the case, then Mercury trine Uranus must be the true origin of your abilities. ๐Ÿ™‚

    DN – 06/04/14

    1. Hi Dewin,

If the Sun was in Virgo at the time of your birth, indeed Mercury would be important along with Hermes, and any other Mercury-type manifestation/emanation. The Sun is central to interpretation of your chart, but there are many other factors which I shall not go into here, nor all at once ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s nice to “see” you being inspired! I thank you for your kind perception of the words I’ve delivered, and for your understanding of my intention to communicate honestly from the place of my heart.

  6. Hey Ka,

This is a very enigmatic reply…like a riddle tied up in a puzzle and folded away in a mystery ๐Ÿ™‚ I like to be beguiled. Perhaps it was the smile that you included that had me curious….

My friend Paul always says that ‘patterns will emerge by themselves’, and always I’m left wanting to know what he means! ๐Ÿ™‚

And yes…from what I learnt on your Meditation machine post that I replied to, it would indeed seem that sometimes the heart is the only place where whispers are heard.

    DN – 07/04/14

    1. Hi Dewin,

I didn’t mean to beguile. Goodness. Thinking on it, I probably put the smiley face there to be friendly in an awkward sort of way.
I’m agreeing with your friend Paul that patterns do emerge by themselves. I do add to the statement that I think the emerging patterns reflect the reader. The reader is the center-point for all phenomena he/she perceives. Each of us takes away something differently, via our mental/spiritual/emotional filters. Time allows us repeated exposure to test and find evidence for what we think we see or hear. Is it really there? Enigmas are quite curious and very provocative, I agree.

      Best, Ka

  7. Thank you so much for following my blog and I see that we must be kindred spirits. We have a lot in common and I am happy to follow your blog as well. I can see that I will have much to learn from you! So glad out paths have crossed!

    1. Yes, sister, and the learning will go both ways โค I honor your courage. I really see it in your writing and in how you share your experiences. Thank you for your comment, and for being you. ~Ka

  8. Ka has done readings for me and I recommend her for anyway who is looking for some guidance or perspective in understanding this crazy adventure that is life. I sought her help because I was at a crossroads in my career and I wanted some support from something bigger than my own brain.

Rather than merely doing a card reading, Ka provided interpretation and analysis of what the symbols mean and how they apply to my current situation. I felt understood, in the way that someone can understand me better than I can understand myself because they can look at me from a different angle. I felt supported. And Ka gave me some good things to think about — questions to ask myself to get to the bedrock of my problems. The ideas germinated over time, like seedlings of plants, and I watched my understanding of my situation grow over time as I contemplated what Ka said to me.

Thank you, Ka, for your support, understanding, and wisdom. I am grateful for you!

    1. You are so welcome! ๐Ÿ™‚ Words cannot express how your appreciation humbles me – often I am left speechless when people really take the time to let things unfold naturally, and really reach to get in touch with their deepest needs. You’re own ‘good work’, or “the great work” got you there! I loved playing a “role” in your success. ~ka

  9. Dear Fiestra Estrella,
Thank you for reading and following my blog. What a gift you have received from your family to have such an early start being exposed to such rich ideas. I am enjoying what I read here and look forward to reading more.
Best Wishes in your travels and in all you do!

    1. Hello Debra,
Thank you so much for visiting and for following my blog, too! I enjoyed your post on alchemy as well as others that I’ve read. I look forward to returning and reading more and more. I do feel fortunate for my early exposure to so many different ideas/traditions/philosophies; it definitely put me to work synthesizing and finding wholeness. I look forward to learning more about you and sharing via our blogs. Love, Ka

  10. Thank you for visiting my blog and looking through some posts, I loved reading about your experiences and I wish you well as you share your gifts with the world..
Bright Blessings upon your journey.. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Hi Sue,
It’s great to meet you! Your reputation as a dear friend to some of our mutual friends, precedes you. I was admiring your animal renderings, and I look forward to seeing more artwork. My mother is an artist. I suppose I am too (or was). She didn’t really start building her portfolio in her unique way until a couple of years ago, incidentally right after I had spent some quality time with her. She and I have a special connection that goes beyond mother/daughter. Back to you, I feel fortunate to meet you here on WordPress, and be able to appreciate your talents and postings.
      Love, Ka

      1. Dear Ka… How very kind of you to say… And I so understand.. often we reconnect in life via family who go way back in our past lives .. Wonderful that your Mum is so artistic.. And I am sure your own unique style just as artistic.. We often pull ourselves down as we see others whose talent seems great..
But we should each of us appreciate our own uniqueness in being creative in what ever we produce…
I so look forward to exploring more of your posts once I get by bearings with my own posts again and catch up with followers.
Wishing you well and sorry for the delay in replying due to my absence

  11. You’re carrying a special Light trough the world, the beautiful wisdom of your soul and an inner strength I’ll always admire. Purely amazing…we all have our lessons to learn in this life, from you I learned to be open like a child, honest and brave when it comes to my emotions and loving when it comes to other hearts. You taught me all these amazing things just by sharing your Light…thank you. The inner peace I felt while I was reading your about page is beyond reason or logic…like all the precious emotions.
I wanna thank you for following my blog, is honoring me and it makes me feel special. And for lightening my day in a very special way…
    Blessings of Love and Inspiration,

    1. Dear Carissa,
I thought I had replied to you on your blog, but in case I did not, this is important that I want to say to you: Your true words of kindness feel like reflections of your beautiful heart and being.
I thank you so much for your presence and openness,

    1. I’d love too, but I haven’t published it yet ๐Ÿ™‚ there’s that Maya Angelou quote, “There is no greater agony than bearing [an] untold story[ies] inside you.”

I have so many stories that I need to process in my mind/experience and so much writing that I need to do, but life keeps taking me to school, and building more and more stuff to “process.” That is, I keep receiving more input. I’ve shifted more-so to a bodily experience for processing stories, at least in terms of my personal well-being. That, in turn, will provide the grounding I need (and funds/time) to write a book/s.

Stay in touch with me, and – one day – I hope to deliver some of these stories in words. I hope it will satisfy people–they will be “fed” by it. I hope I get there!

In the meantime, what’s coming forth now is from the foundation of all my experiences (how could it not be?) even if those details aren’t in the writing. They are “there” energetically, I believe.

Thank you for showing interest!! I can tell you that Shiva was dancing and breaking up the old “ground” of mind/past, Summoning me to work on the Dance.

  12. Just reading your bio is an enriching experience in itself. I am glad we met in this sphere and so happy to know, you crossed the seas and travelled the universe to acquire such learnings. You are truly an inspiration. Although I try to follow astrology to learn more about my path, it is challenging for me:) I am a capricorn, and not sure if other fellow capricorns have faced challenges on all levels since 2011…I just hope the sun, moon and stars align in harmony for those struggling and open up the portals the soonest, that closed suddenly on that year.
Blessings to you and looking forward to reading more of your inspiring posts.

    1. Hello Nadine,

Thank you so much for reading and for your kind comments. Pluto has been in Capricorn since 2008 – bringing deep changes to the Capricorns, one would have to see your chart to examine it in detail. Uranus entered Aries in 2011, and began a square aspect to Pluto in Capricorn in 2012 –> this brings even more tension and awakening to a natally placed Sun in Capricorn (and to us all really because we all have Capricorn in our charts).

Nevertheless, in general, Capricorn’s have had a tough “go of it.” Deep, deep transformation in the Capricorn and Saturn-ruled areas of our charts.

We will have some more changes due in 2015 – as the last exact aspect of Uranus in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn takes place in March 2015, and Saturn, ruler of Capricorn, will enter Sagittarius in late 2014, and again in 2015-17. Blessings to you, too, Nadine! I’m looking forward to reading more of your colorful posts! Wishing you smoother transits. ~Ka

  13. Namaste, and thank you for inviting us to your party ๐Ÿ™‚ I love that you used this quote for the intro on your blog: โ€œThere is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.โ€ because it is beyond true. I started my own blog as a commitment and promise to my Grandmother, to help share a story of heritage, and I wish to thank you for reading the journey and intent page, most skip those by ๐Ÿ™‚ I would love to hear the story you experienced with one of my favorite Energies (Shiva) in one of wish list places (Ankor)! I look forward to sharing your journey. KaylaB (Shakti-Shaman)

    1. Aloha and Namaste ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s a pleasure to meet you. Thank you for visiting my blog and reading my ‘about’ section, too! I love your intention to honor your grandmother and to share your heritage; it is beautifully intended. Hopefully, one day I will access the storage compartment where my Shiva story/experience is written. It was a long time ago, now, over a decade ago. For some reason it inserted itself into my ‘about’ section! ~ which may need to be updated again, soon, too! Angkor is definitely a must-see! There’s so much energy there. Sycamore trees everywhere, especially Ta Prohm. Thank you for sharing with me, Shakti-Shaman. Have a beautiful day! _/1\_

  14. I just want to say how amazing your latest post is.. And didn’t wish to leave without saying so.. I was interested in how you said you used to interpret though art.. I once upon a time in the 90’s gave readings through art.. I called them Auragraphs.. You can find them within my art pages.. But like you they took hours and hours and I would give at least 4 pages of interpretation as well as the hours it took to paint.. I would give all of these away.. As I did them within my services in Demonstrations in Spiritualist venues.. I would never know who they were for. only a man or woman.. And would wait until I was there to tune in to the audience to give them this gift where I would link into the Spirit realm for additional info.. ๐Ÿ™‚ I was never let down..

Wishing you well in your studies and your knowledge gathering..
    Bless you Ka
    Sue xxx

    1. Hi Sue!
I’m sorry, I thought I had typed a reply to you here. As it appears now, it did not go through. I did leave a message on your blog post on watercolors, which I love!

Recently here, on my blog, I made some small changes. I do hope to continue this process of re-design, and re-creation that I’ve begun. Thank you for your support, and your lovely comments here. โค You are appreciated.
      xo Ka

  15. Very informative blog.. i have a great interest in this field too.. in my bachelors i tend to take this subject but some how I ended up in electronic engineering..!! and thanks for the words in my About too ๐Ÿ™‚ cheers

    1. Thank you!! Fascinating choice of study that you have found yourself in! Are you interested in making motherboards or other circuit boards? Thank you so much for following my blog. It is my pleasure to visit and comment on yours today. Cheers to you, too! Thank you ๐Ÿ™‚

  16. Star Party!! What an awesome name. And I love your topic –> astrology and meditation. I’m looking forward to reading more! Question, have you turned off comments on your posts? Or is it just me that I couldn’t find where to leave a comment? That photo of you on the tree for the Sag new moon post – I don’t think I’ve ever seen a tree that looks like that!!

    1. Hello MBSS! ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you for visiting, for following, and for bringing such enthusiasm along with your comment!

Yes, the comments thingy I’m going to look into that…

Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving~ and a Happy gratitude day~

The tree might be a Sprung tree, I’m not sure. It’s so majestic and such a spectacle of nature!

  17. Thanks for coming over to check out and follow my blog, I saw your comments on Gneiss Moon Astrology blog, I’m into astrology and have also the Saturn/Venus Square so that led me to your site, I am looking forward to reading your posts!

    1. Hi Heni,

You are welcome! It was such a treat to see your avatar -as new follow, Thank You & Welcome! – your picture (and painting) made me grin with joy! Thanks for sharing about how you found me!

As an astrologer, I decided to share more about my own chart, and really work on making the connections so we can foster our group healing, and spread the word that one can really benefit from having squares. They foster productivity if not the challenge – where would we be? I compliment Gneiss moon’s recent blog post. I hope you enjoy your time on my blog, too. Cheers to you! Merry Meet. Ka

  18. Deanne

You have an awesome blog. I love all things astrology and maybe one day I will be an astrologer. In the meantime I’m learning about myself through the use of astrology and numerology. Let your light shine ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thank you, Deanne! Numerology and Astrology are intertwined. All subjects are really one, under the sun! ๐Ÿ™‚ You’re journey sounds excellent and well-guided! Thank you for visiting and leaving your mark here.

  19. Bright Greetings! Thank you for the link to your new About page. I really enjoyed my visit! I must tell you that this is the first time I willingly watched an animation. I loved the idea of the story! ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Oh Fim, if you get the chance… you may enjoy this film then. ๅฎฎๅดŽ ้งฟ Miyazaki Hayao’s animation is unique, and the storyline is so wonderful. It touches something deeply for me; which is why I have referenced it here, as I am still trying to describe something that isn’t quite describable for me yet.

  20. A petal for you Ka, nice to meet you โค
Thanks so much for following our blog. I hope you enjoy the stories of our journey. And don't be a stranger – come on over and join the conversation.
