25 – Let’s Face it Together

I shouldn’t rush this one.

There’s a lot about Leo that isn’t captured by popular culture, or by “culture of astrology.” Of course, I am a Leo Sun (haha in my 7th house of others!!) So I will tell you what a Leo is! And you will believe me, of course! (silly!) Silliness is definitely a thing. It’s part of it. A bit of a performer… that too! Guess what else? Can you guess? Yes, yes, playful. Anything else?

If you guessed Shameless, well, no.

Brave.

Brave!

I wrote brave twice– you wanna know why? The first time is with a period. It’s the behind the scenes brave. It’s the actual brave. The show up and be brave behind the ready to be brave. Then there’s the other brave! is the one that looks cheery and courageous, but is probably just the product of this equation:

If you are looking at the truth: there’s no real difference between you and me. We have all the same possibilities and potentialities. Choice is what makes us different, and to a certain extent, circumstances also make us different. We all have different backgrounds, groups, families, environmental pressures, legacies and genes, and even experiences. Please keep reading for the substance…. You are special

This post is not going to be one of those posts that tells you “this is an excellent time for: x, y and z” It’s not even about what the sign Leo means. It’s more about an exploration into the depths of you. This new moon in early Leo at 2 degrees is in opposition to the planet, Pluto (overhaul), in Aquarius (each and every one). It’s in trine to Uranus (innovation) in Gemini (the mind). There’s a lot of pressure right now to find ways to survive. What are we surviving? We are surviving difficult living conditions that still manage to mostly look like the luxuries of modern life. However, underneath it all is the existential tension of not knowing the future, not having a stable sense of the cost of goods, not knowing how the slashing and burning and bridge dismantling of our institutions is going to affect America and the entire world. It’s already affecting America. What’s worse is the backdrop of environmental degradation and decline. The climate is changing so quickly that the *very* systems designed to protect us with early warning signals and organized response teams, even research around these pertinent topics: FEMA, EPA, and more, are being dismantled completely. How will we even know the true impact of what is going on until the years past when we are long and gone? This is not an easy landscape my friends! This is not an easy life. Yes, meanwhile, we have positivity consciousness telling us to “be grateful” and how each one of us can just “put our minds to it” and “have the life of our dreams.”

What is true?

Well, that is a moving target. So that sense for the scammers hunting us every day and the people who want to steal from our trust– well, are they creating a culture of distrust? I would say, “yes.” Now, I’m not laying all this out so that we all come together and agree to just give up. But there is a lot of war going on (in our hearts and on Earth, across nations) and very, very shady, nefarious characters are acting freely from their place of power. So, I must ask you, I must beg you to keep going. Keep finding the reason to LOVE. Keep finding the reason to TRUST. Keep finding the ways to soften your heart–while getting increasingly smart to the real danger that lurks for us. This is a life of survival for ourselves and our families. The values we have fought for need to stay intact. We do not sacrifice our freedoms for anything other than a higher vision. That higher vision must come from our hearts. It must come from the most courageous part within us. It’s the anchor that links us to the very air we breathe. The heart and lungs work in tandem, you know. So be the voice, be the hope. Be the authentic gift of your own life– and give to give. Love to love. You are not alone. I am not alone.

I’m just gonna do the same, okay?

The joy of Mercury retrograde in Leo

Let us turn to joy.

Can we be in joy while the whole world is in tumult? Are we allowed?

For some of us, we ache from the insides, deep in our healing—all we’ve been exposed to, all that has dimmed us, our hopes, our hearts’ desires.

But the heart’s energy field is bigger than a brain as HeartMath will tell you, the following about the heart’s field. The energy produced by the heart is more than 100 times greater in strength than the field generated by the brain and can be detected up to 3 feet away from the body, in all directions, using SQUID-based magnetometers (Figure 6.1).

With Mercury retrograde in Leo it won’t be surprising to get clear on a number of things to review:

*How you put yourself out there

*What you do in life purely for the sake of joy and love

*What is your true need to be seen and heard by others

*Where you’d like to build more courage

I’m no stranger to this Mercury retrograde in Leo. Where Mercury is standing right now, He/She/They/It are directly on my natal Sun. ☀️

That very sun I have “given away” to “other” born in the house of “others.” (7th)

I have memories and contacts to explore. I have new relationships to consider. I get to PLAY with what possible wisdom may come from exploring those areas I need to show up with more courage.

At this point I have so many certifications, so much experience and expertise in a number of different fields that are all similarly related. I started a YouTube channel, and I’m maintaining this blog, my business, my house and plants, and my family.

Another BIG exam is slated for me to demonstrate my expertise in a new, deeper category of my TCM work: skin as an extension of my external medicine work. That exam will be at the tail end of the summer, during the “pause” right before a ton more astrological “action.” This is a category of achievement in my field where few have actually tread. The exam passing rate isn’t so high. That’s not why I’m doing it. I do it for love. Just love. I constantly and consistently invest myself in improving FOR others; to be of service.

But I’m human, and I’m making peace with a lot.

Much walking and physical movement, music, and catharsis decorates my summer Mercury retrograde party 🎈 banners/streamers and they look like balloons 🎈 around healing ❤️‍🩹 AND grieving at the same time.

I think we all know Trauma at this point. It’s become the collective consciousness’s main dialogue! How could it not? How many disasters are we recovering from, losses, interrupts, missed opportunities— at ANY given time?!

So, what can I offer you that has not been offered before? What will really make your heart sing?

Maybe… even just take some time out for some singing 🎶 and dancing. 💃 go outside and scream like a banshee, or if you realistically can’t, do it in a pillow.

No one needs to watch. Your own audience fills your inner world; it’s your shadow. Your shadow is your audience!

So don’t listen to anything that might hold you back from your purest heart’s desire. See what stands the test of time. See what stands the test of “this time.”

Mercury will retrograde from July 17-18 depending on where you live, until August 11/12.

What has been through the fire 🔥 that looks so shiny and sparkling now but has a lot of blood, sweat, and tears 😭 behind it?

You know. You are the one who been through the fire, through hell and back. You know: It’s your capacity to love.

During this Mercury retrograde when things might be better examined, slowed down, face unexpected technical challenges or fight inner demons.

You have a hand-holder, over here, in me. Somethings that REQUIRE courage, and the real movements can sometimes only be BABYSTEPS. I’m your girl. Your cheerleader. 📣
