In theory or perhaps in the depths of our beingness (Leo), we dissolve into the state of the all-ness (Aquarius). This would be “us” experiencing non-separation from all of life. While identity, then, looks as a thin veneer (Leo). It holds us in unique contrast to the whole (Aquarius). We still find ourselves awkwardly fleshing out and standing tall as ourselves, non-the-less—as a phenomenon (Leo/Aquarius). We just are. Our identity is our apparatus.
While this “Selfhood” or apparatus is distinct, it’s not merely marked by one’s preferences of likes and dislikes nor of one’s performance scores on all dimensions of human output. It’s not fully lit, either, by being called a name, or by virtue of having our own tell-tale gait.
Sometimes what makes us stand out is the ways in which we simply cannot conform. No matter how hard we try, we stick out like sore thumbs against a sea of sameness. This shows up clearly when we attempt to perform or people-please. We find ourselves failing.
The individual vs the collective is the main theme of the Leo/Aquarius dynamic. It expresses this “divide” on the surface, but on the deeper level, shows us how one carves out a true “role” in life, by conforming to one’s inner alignment. That alignment may stand in stark contrast to what the collective is doing at any given time, but it does not mean that it doesn’t serve the collective, nor act as its agent.
The collective needs our self-agency.
Getting really clear on what’s true for us is what this time calls for. It’s the clarion call of courage for facing fears/and those delusions around what hides or masks our lifeforce.
It’s important to continuously “take time out” for reflection and deep diving into what makes ourselves a “good fit” for the collective, for just this reason. Because we do have a role. We do matter, and we are important. It is just this beautiful combination of self-assigned and divinely-assigned role we play as we move through our daily lives interfacing with the collective.
Maybe by listening with courage to the inner, stable voice of confidence (Leo), we gain our sustainable freedom (Aquarius) to explore from places where we are already anchored into our knowing. Holding step with this ‘divineness within’ simply helps us to pilot our humans better. When we can better pilot our human, based on its own flight and optimization requirements, (such as a living, organic vessel would demand), then we can be of better service and in better rapport with the collective.
Should you find yourself well-rested, nourished, and resourced: well now……there’s the full freedom to live a life of meaning and creation just waiting for your specific, attuned actions!
When we explore the depths of this Leo archetype, we flow with the light of our beings as the beacon. We need not steam-roll others and be arrogant (that’s not even on the table for offer!) because we come from a place of purity and innocence in our simplicity. We are in part responding to the needs of our bio-organism while simultaneously creating and producing from inspiration. This is the basic chemistry of our true selfhood–the one that is ‘ready to play’ with the synergy of the collective.
