I am not certain when you created what, but your work is beautiful. I really dig #3 picassoesque and #5 which feels Asian. Perhaps you were inspired by your time in Asia.

In fact, I feel the same way, even now, “Maybe I’m starting to like pink more.” It does show up. Too funny! I would use that same phrase just as you said it: Maybe.

Aww. Thanks, Mary! #4 I painted while I was in high school. #3 was during the early years of my undergraduate studies. There’s something similar about them somehow. It might just be the colors. The painting didn’t photograph that well (#4), and it’s mixed media. I think I even included chalk in it, along with acrylic and oil pastel. Grateful for your comment and visit.

All of them are powerful dear Ka.. I would say the bottom one is the oldest and the top one the latest.. LOL but what would I know 🙂 I enlarged them on my screen and loved the thoughts behind the one which had within it ” Why Are We Fighting!”.. why indeed..
I guess the Middle East War was prominent within your thoughts on this one.
Hi Sue, Today I’m working on A Course in Miracles, “Lesson 31: ‘I am not the victim of the world I see.'” The “Why are we fighting?” painting was made while I was still in High School. I think I couldn’t even tell you what she was thinking, but she shared what she could. I support her voice. I’d say that self-expression is healing. One shouldn’t have to explain or psychoanalyze their art, but it does sometimes provide good reflection to us who make it; and after many years later, return. Thanks for your comment, and your love here! All of the paintings were created about a decade or more in the past. 🙂
You know what?! I love that they are an expression of a growing and sensitive artist. We are not our pasts, are we, and yet: we are formed by all of our intentions and experiences.
Wow I like your paintings,, even though I’m an artist, when I see other peoples art, I become so jumpy jumpy and happy like a baby,, they all look beautiful, I love the 1st and the 3rd ones
