for me, i’m not ready
for you, to go just yet–
but you’re tired and
overworking.
please find your peace
and the company of your
loves ones
who have already crossed over,
and who wait with
embrace of which you
are most familiar.
I just cannot let you go so
easily.
so sorry I am not there
to provide comfort, how I
am saying goodbye from
an internet connection
my words are Frank.
not colored with poetry.
I just don’t want to say goodbye.
Curious minds wonder about the backstory. I hope all is well Ka.
My grandmother 👵 is transitioning.
I’m sorry to hear about your grandmother and understand your feelings and poem now.
Thank you, Brad!
I’m sorry you have to say goodbye…I know he will always be with you💜
Sending thoughts of love.
She is still with us but it’s been a long journey for her and recent declines are hard on the family. Thank you 💗
Sending a giant hug of understanding and love 💜
Thank you 💗
❤ Hugs from afar. Sounds like a difficult time ❤
Thank you, it’s a multifaceted time! “It was the best and worst of times,” the words of Charles Dickens comes to mind. 💗 Hugs back
❤
Big hugs.
Thank you 🙂
The bond must be strong. I am sure you will feel her spirit and be connected in a new way. Adding my hugs to you, dear Ka.
Thank you, JoAnna – felt and appreciated 💗
Losing our loved ones is never easy. The gift is that you know she is free and will always be near you Ka. 💕
Thank you, Karen. We are so fortunate. In my update, I noted that my grandmother is doing much better. She’s 98, and had fallen. She got surgery to repair her broken hip, and then came off a ventilator, and then recovered her kidneys (which were failing) and then, was not eating (when I posted this); but the most recent update is that she is feeding herself again.
You are right. Losing our loved ones is never easy. This is something you know well and you have been a great healer because of this. I lost a friend, too early in her 30s – She had everything going for her.
Life is too short for us all, even my grandmother at 98. She is much more comfortable now, even though at some point she will transition. I’m happy that she can gaze at the flowers and smell them and chat some more. More Facetime! She is in less pain, and not because of death. Regardless, death is freeing, and grieving is part of the process.
Thank you for your kindness here, Karen ❤
That’s an amazing recovery Ka! She is very strong and resilient. I’m glad you have more time with her. None of us know how long we will be here, and thats why it’s so important we are present with each other. Many blessings to you and your family Ka 💕💚
I’m sorry for my delayed response, Karen. I just heard word of the loss of my friend from teenage years. Very sad. Sometimes we write a poem and it means so much more than our commentary… this poem wanted to be published for more than one person. 💗 Yes, being present is important. Best wishes to you and your family, too, Karen! I’m glad my grandmother is so strong and resilient and we have more time.
Yes! ❤

i’m not much for
saying farewells
myself 🙂
“I don’t know why you say goodbye, I say hello” 👀
Raw and deep we go when we separate from love❤️
And yet separation is not possible…
and so we accept all that comes and all that goes, as best we can, and with as much love as we can realize.
