Since my art in terms of drawing and painting has been dormant for a very long time, while other aspects of my creativity have been active, I was about to leave the house to pick up my child from school and drive her to her next activity when I thought I might “check in” with a notebook, and see if I gave myself just two minutes if something wanted to flow through the pen. I have about 10 actual minutes to reset my brain from working with clients and herbs.
A new drawing didn’t happen.
Instead, I was surprised to find this dog. It’s as if the dog was patiently waiting for me to rediscover it in this book. My loyal companion, my art. My puppy love. 💗 Instead, I got a reminder about a passion of mine which continues to exist unseen.
I’m curious to see how this unfolds in the coming days…
Meanwhile my daughter has been very prolific. I look forward to the days where our creativity intersects even more. Time for some more fun and play!
When was the last time you felt playful, and what got you feeling that way?

This weekend Sun and Mercury are Cazimi in Aquarius. For me it’s close to my natal S. Node (past lives) in Aquarius ♒️. When Sun and Mercury are conjoined it’s the start of a new cycle of how the mind is used. And the ego can also either overshadow or go “bloop” and divine mind can redeem that golden thread of straw being spun into gold: brilliant ideas and novel insights. Make the best of it! 💡 and wait for the lightbulb moment. Ideas for freedom and innovation are ripe to emerge.
Mmm, playful? Is that where you walk into a shop and stare for many minutes trying to decide which chocolates you want to buy? All the while smiling to yourself in how much fun your going to have later tasting them all? Hmmm, I wonder if their is a chocolate ‘sign’ in the heavens 🤣❤️🙏
For you, Mark, definitely you live and love with the nourishing chocolate sign. Fun tip: the tulsi essential oil can smell like chocolate 🍫💗
Oh, don’t tell me that Ka…I’ll be using it to cook…everything 🤣❤️🙏
😂🤗😂 whoops too late! ⏰ 🍫
Do you like the dark cacao? What is your favorite?
As in chocolate? Ferrero Rocher…but on a weak kneed day I’ll do a straight white chocolate (but a bit sweet, even for me 🤣). But if I’m celebrating something…chocolate coated raisins 🤗. Oh Ka, there’s too many, they are all fabulous. I was going to start up a factory, but I’d eat all the profits 🤗🤣❤️🙏
I’m with you on that chocolate loving, Mark. Even the white chocolate— triple chocolate cake! Chocolate cookie crunch. Well, you know what, just thinking about it has the same effect as eating it! lol 😂 no chocolate factories for you! 😂💕🎁🎶😍🙏🏻
Ah, you did mean as in cooking. As I am so allergic to so much (cooking bits, as in additives or even just flour) from my allergic reaction to a cortico steroid for C.O.P.D. My cooking has been reduced to practically zero. I can get 50 recipes and I can’t reduce them in safety to make something. I am literally eating salads with a side serving of salad with salad for dessert, it is that bad. I even react to some salads because I react to whatever chemicals are in them ie fertilizer etc still inside the plant. And to add to that, I can’t taste a thing. It might look good, I have lots of memories of what it tastes like…but…alas can’t taste it. Not for over 10 years. And yes, for some reason, and I think it is the cocoa in the chocolate gives me a reaction. Now I shouldn’t say this but…It might just be a psychological memory hit 🤣 Well, its better than no hit at all 😂 Actually I tell a lie…I am reducing the steroid very, very slowly so I don’t get a bad reaction from it…and parts of my taste ‘seems’ to be resurfacing. And I’m testing it often with chocolate to make sure 🤣
I mean the essential oil to smell and enjoy in your diffusor or on your acupoints of interest (for the Tulsi) as a good alternative to chocolate.
Be well, Mark! I hope you get your taste back, and who knows, maybe the essential oil can help to retrain your brain/senses to do that. I hear you on salads. Sounds like you are having a tough time finding something you aren’t reacting to. Well, once you are able to fully reduce your steroid very gradually maybe you will be interested in the Tulsi, or other sense-allowing, pleasing and nourishing foods. Sending my love and best wishes your way!
Ah, thank you. I will keep that oils name firmly entrenched for…well, everything kind lady. Thank you. Just a side note, I tried to comment on today’s post but it just refused me. Had about 10 goes but I mustn’t be smiling properly. I think I’ll go for a walk on the beach with a cup of coffee, adjust my energy, then try again when I get back 🤣❤️🙏
Hi 👋 Mark! I hope it’s supportive for you! So strange about not being able to comment on that new post. Hmmm 🤔 so curious… 🧐 ✨ energy shifts…. 💗🤗
Oh god you are good. What an expressive dog. You must keep at this art , Ka. You amaze me. There’s nothing you can’t do. I love being on this self discovery journey with you. Mum and dotter are going to kill it haha 😍
Love you, boo. So much. You always make me feel so good about my efforts and expression! Thank so much for the positive reinforcement. It actually means so much more than you might know. Big big hugs. Thank you for being here and on this wonderful journey!!!
🤗❤️🥰
I love that you are looking forward to your daughter’s and your art intersecting. I love your sketch too~ dogs are such natural muses.
Hi Kristen! I’m beside myself excited to see you! You are so right about the doggies. My kiddo really wants a dog. I suppose I do, too– but only when the time is right for us ❤ Thank you for being here. P.S. I am just so drenched in herbs and essential oils. First it started with the 10 years of Chinese medicine herbalism, now I am full on with Rosemary Gladstar while working with her early students who are almost in their 80s, a really sweet couple who had created their Self Heal School in the same city I live in. The essential oils are just moving through the air right now as I work at some desk work. Can't wait to come and visit your blog and see what you are up to! 🙂 Thanks for shining your beautiful light here this morning! Also, yes, stay tuned: I love doing so many things with my daughter.
Oh that’s so awesome that you are diving deeper into herbalism! Herbs and essential oils are just so magical~ as you well know :). It sounds like they’ve even connected you with some really cool people! I love that. Enjoy!
Yes, Kristenann! Including you! You are one of the really cool people 🙂
💗🧚🏼♂️
Awww~ thank you Ka! 💜
💗💗🤗
My dog Marley helps me be playful. He even does this with my often serious husband. Thanks for the idea of picking up a sketchbook and pen, even if we only have a short time, just to see what happens. Enjoy!
Yes I need to plant it in my mind to do this more often (sketch!). I need to carve it out and make it more accessible to myself. I can do this! Haha, maybe it’s the light-hearted approach I need more than anything.
I can picture Marley in so many ways, making the hubs crack a smile or play.
What a lovely surprise waiting for you! Definitely a chubby lovey puppy there. I hope you spend a little time drawing, Ka! Even if just for fun and a few minutes of creativity. Hugs.
Thanks dear friend, I sure hope so! I gotta just let it flow more often into this area of creativity. So many different potential outlets! 🤣
We are headed to a women’s college basketball game and looking forward to rooting for the teams with the hubs and the kiddo! Have a lovely rest of your weekend! 💗🧚🏼♂️🏀⛹️♀️
Sounds like great fun! I love women’s basketball. We lived in CT for a long time. Go Huskies!
Oh interesting! I didn’t know you love women’s basketball. I was so impressed with Sumayah Sugapong, player number 3 with UCSD Tritons. However, sadly she didn’t have a good game (nor the team) in the second half. They were in lead in the first half but lost in the second half to Irvine. I so appreciate athletes, which is why they are some of my favorite clients to work with! The amount of dedication and determination is always inspiring to me– especially when you see how they handle massive challenges and steep losses. Wow! I was on the edge of my seat. I am new to women’s basketball and now I am curious about your old CT team!
We had season’s tickets to the NCAA Women’s Huskies for years. It was soo fun to get to know the players. I love the wild energy of the games. I know that you know that feeling. Glad you had fun.
Oh yes, I wonder if that wild energy is some of your action inspiration for your wonderful scenes in your novels!? So fun. 🤩
🙂
Nothing like a cutie puppy 🐶 to make me smile! 😃
Being creative is so good for us! Love your dog and your ability to express your gifts Ka 💞🤗💞
Thank you so much, Karen. Something very special happens with me when I draw that helps me to transcend my ordinary mind. I think that’s also why i end up resisting it. Sometimes we resist the medicine! I wish I didn’t do that so much. But, I have a feeling, I will eventually get the hang of letting more drawing (and creativity) in again in a way that fits into my life with ease and flow. 🙂
I wish I didn’t resist the medicine too!! Especially when we know it is our gift! 💞💞
💗
What a talent you are, Ms. Ka. :o)
What a generous compliment! Grateful! I really hope to be able to make something ‘more’ out of all my enjoyable things to do! Drawing, writing, painting, art-making in 3D, etc! Once I get my healing business and my young family more firmly established… maybe! ♥️Happy Valentine’s Day, Pam! There’s so much to enjoy and Love 💗 on this planet with nature and each other! Hah! Have a wonderful day ♥️
You, too, Ka!
