Grief

Grief is wise;

it echoes lost parts,

surrendered from

wholeness,

surrendered to

awareness, holds

tinier pieces

of recognition,

in moments of aching,

in moments of aching-calm,

in moments of sand moving

through the timepiece

waiting, watching the ache,

knowing this is also

part of love.

Because all is witnessed here,

knowing there’s wholeness

but holding only the holdable parts,

until the rest return.

  1. How do you write with so much precision and detail laying out the truth in the most aesthetically appealing way? Love this piece of philosophical literary creation from your gorgeous quill ♥️

      1. I felt the pace of your heart beat in this potent piece ♥️ I inhaled the oxygen and felt the purity of your thoughts and felt the surge of emotions .. you needed to write so we could feel and read.

          1. your quill 🪶 is the golden dart
            filled with sequinned words
a gentle caress upon the senses
a soothing touch of soul sister love ❤️
            thank you ♥️

  2. Grief is indeed a powerful test on that cord we hold Ka. We wrap our arms around ourselves to hold it tight, scared we might break in going through it. But it shifts us, letting us see our own heart more clearly…if but time to heal it ❤️🙏

  3. Grief.

The pain of a parting. Not necessarily a physical death. The living can inflict just as vicious a wound.

Grief as the pining of the lover for the absent beloved. Knowing that something is missing from oneself. That the level upon which there is no loss is so far beyond daily reach, and that the knowledge of being one must abide the pain of feeling torn apart to incompleteness.

There is no true grief without love, nor true love without grief. For now… But, one day, they will resolve, for love and grief are, themselves, lovers, and will unite.

  4. Reading part of a healing process. “Waiting, watching the ache,” reminds me of mindfulness. “knowing this is also part of love,” is great wisdom. Thank you for these strengths.
