water falls from the sky
tired of holding back,
release me from this cloud.
she snakes onto the ground
finding surfaces that take her downhill
slipping at moments, running fast
she gets stuck along the way;
pooled up, tears surround her.
the ground gets so heavy; it’s so wet.
how can she hold back anymore?
there’s no where to go..
she’s the farthest downhill she can go
she’s at the bottom.
The bottom’s bottom.
This is lovely Ka. Your words took me on a journey with water.
I know! What an absolutely unique idea!
Thank you ☺️
❤️🤗💙
Thank you XX
A powerful journey you’ve captured here. The watery world of emotions indeed takes us to our core and has the ability to catapult us into new embodiment.
Nowhere to go, no holding back—powerful images for tears and rain. Hopefully they nurture something that will grow and thrive, even when a ones very lowest.
About to share a few of those tears Ka, a cyclone visiting our shoreline up north 🤣 Well versed kind lady, a great share thank you 😀❤️🙏
I think most of us in our life time have known those Thunderous Tears Ka..
Learning to swim among them, and not drowning in them.. As we haul ourselves back to shore…
I think when we sink to the bottom, bottom… There is only one way back… And that is to rise to the surface… and Breatheeee… ❤ xx
Hi Sue,
We had some major flooding. This poem is about the way the rain feels inside herself and how the people toiled around its unexpected deluge… it’s the rain’s side of the story..
Thank you 🙏🏼 hugs! 🥰 Xo
arrgh… Well now I am aware, its a great Thunderous downpouring of tears!, 🙂 xx Thank you for the explanation xx
Sometimes the presure is just too great
Well said and good observation! Hugs and love, another day we get to be here. We were nearly flooded out. Still had damage, clean up and engineering problems. More rain to come next week through atmospheric river. Our previous owner did not disclose the depth of the problems with water drainage at our house, and that combined with unprecedented rainfall looking back to 1850, and you have “too much to deal with.”
I wrote this poem from the rain’s perspective.
This is nasty to hear Ka. Big hugs dear friend
Perhaps the most challenging is they are forecasting a worse atmospheric river next week and our landscape engineering needs are vast.
Life can be challenging. Hugs, good fortune be with you Ka
What a wonderful poem personifying rain. I could picture this as I read along. Epic poetry. Brilliant work, Ka🤗❤️💖
Thanks Yassy!! Nature sure does inspire us! 💗💗💗💧
So welcome, Ka 🤗.. 💖
Loving the way the flow of this poem in the sound of the way it reads honors the flow of water. Beautiful writing! ❤
Thank you so much for your beautiful feedback, Layla! 💧💗 You are appreciated!! Happy writing ✍️ my friend!
I’m reminded of a feeling of great relief. The bottom’s bottom is good place to rest a while.
I agree. At the bottom is the lowest level of earth and gravity has helped to assist. I’m glad you added that to this poem. Thank you! 💗
❤
Gorgeous gorgeous writing. Almost heartbreaking. Bottom’s bottom. I read this as the rain feeling trapped with nowhere to go, and having to sit in the feeling. Like grief, really. Stunning work! I really enjoyed reading and sitting on this.
Thank you so much!
