bananas but no more pleasant and surprisingly tart as
cranberries in salad or with oranges. Dragon fruit is good or
Dill pickles accent your sandwich for lunch but for dinner
Eggplant with ricotta and Mariana sauce
Fudge from the boardwalk completes your
satisfaction. Tomorrow we have
Gnocchi
Haricot verts and for dessert homemade
Ice cream
The days fly by with
Jicama chips
Kale chips
Lasagnas
Mandarins, Meringue, and Macaroons
If you are feeling flowers,
Nasturtium makes an orange delight satisfying eyes and stomach
Oatmeal, oatmilk, oatmeal cookies are all good in the morning
Plus plums, porridge, pineapples, papaya
Queijadinha (coconut and cheese tart)
Raspberries, Rhubarb
Strawberries
Too much! (toffee)
Ube is the best though coupled with
Vanilla
Waffles
Xoconostle
Yogurt
and
Zucchini bread
***Caught up on some extra sleep but still need more, last day of my 5 day clinic series where I am working on facial rejuvenation acupuncture with ancillaries. I’m exhausted though. I reached for “low hanging fruit” with this “poem.” May your senses be delighted nevertheless!
I’m hoping that the spacing turns out better than it did with my last post. I have written the poem in notepad and copy and pasted here. That changes the layout.
This is my first poetry day 1, for 30 poems in 30 days: one poem per day. I used the prompt “out of reach.” Using prompts to write anything is new to me. I think I tried once with a short story. So I am literally stretching myself. So how perfect for this to be my first poem! I hope to make it back tomorrow, and the day after that, and after that….
Challenges have always held a certain appeal for me. I like to choose them. Which ones and when. Ra Avis over at her poetess’ home blog: https://rarasaur.com sent a message to the Cheer Peppers on Facebook for a Poem a Day challenge through the month of April.
I’m going for it. Yesterday was my teaser day. My attempt. It was partially written, and then completely lost. I know that when I gently invite myself into the challenges of my choosing, especially alongside of others (because I can and have ‘gone it alone’ for probably an eternity.). It’s always better with friends!
💗🙏🏼
So fire up your poetry-makers! Open up the hatches. Get that kite out and read for the wind
