How much do you identify
with your beliefs?
your thoughts?
When you label a thing, “that is ‘good'”
that is “bad”?
How much does this cost you?
By time?
A moment, or an eternity?
One wonders how we can be
in a state of not deciding, while
also very firmly placed on
the foundation of aliveness.
There is a way –
Close your eyes, and breathe
into your hands all the gifts you
are given, see them transforming
your mind, and turning it into
a beautiful branching, luminous crystal –
now sit back
and watch it grow, while deciding nothing,
and experiencing
everything

This is beautiful Ka.. what a visualisation. 😀 and were we to not judge, how life would be so much freer.. Yet we label often as we decide what is good and bad.. When we learn to See a larger picture emerging that its all about choice..
May we all learn to watch how the world grows as we came here to experience Everything..
Great post Ka.. Love and Light my friend xx
Hi Sue – it’s amazing how “the mind” works; and sometimes, we can get the same awareness through a number of different presentations of it. This poem struck me in a new way, by asking the question about cost. I never thought of it that way before! How much time does it cost me when I make a link to an attachment? I’m so glad that you enjoyed this poem and the lovely imagery that did emerge. As you say, “it’s all about choice,” and I think getting to that place of choice, and being able to notice when it arises – certainly noticing the growing opportunities for new choices from us, as they are arising, is really key to breaking some of those attachments that rob us of the golden life we really have the capacity to live. Much Love Sue, Ka Thank you!
Correct.. learning to alter our mindset, and our past conditioning.. Free’s us up as we see we should only be obligated to ourselves.. That is not being selfish.. As I once thought..
Like now.. I am catching up, here on WP.. because I feel I should, Yet my mind is calling me to be outside in the Sun.. And I am learning also, its all about choice.. And learning to honour my instincts, and not worry about it.. 🙂 When we learn, there are no right or wrong ways in life, we then open up to the flow.. Showing us it really is all about CHOICE.. And how we perceive the choice of others.
Love and Hugs dear DEAR Friend xx ❤
Sue – you bring up a good point about learning to honor your instincts and
go with the flow. 🙂
Also, your point about how we perceive the choice of others is
part of the whole picture, I think. We don’t know what choice others have or don’t have
and what their awareness really is, do we? That’s where I think compassion comes in, and why it is ultimately good for us that we can alter our mindsets when we can.
That said, I’m sure anything can be taken to too far a degree; in this case, I would suggest: that we just have a good time when we can – and not be engaged in an inner battle, if possible, let it be. 🙂 I imagine how you are out there gardening and appreciating your time in the company of many plants, insects, and critters, communing with the sun; and who knows, maybe wishing you were on WP instead! Just kidding, but I think it’s quite possible, don’t you? We are fortunate when we can build variety into our days, and have choices to make. This makes us pretty powerful… Lots of Love and hugs ❤ to you, my dear sister.
This made me smile Ka.. and yes you are absolutely right. I logged out and logged into Nature, all afternoon.. including a snooze in the shade.. Wonderful 🙂 Enjoy your own choices dear Ka.. May they all be happy ones.. ❤
Thank you, Sue. I managed to get a nap in! Vivid, wonderful dreams.
I didn’t plan on that nap, but it sure planned on me! lol
❤
🙂 Love it when the Nap takes over lol xx
Yes, this is beautiful!
Thank you, Brad! Have a wonderful week 🙂
Thanks Ka. Hugs!
🤗
i’m feeling like a balloon
filling up from the inside
with emptiness 🙂
“Filling up from the inside.” I like that 🙂
– then, there’s all this space 🙂
Lovely words Ka. The last bit is absolutely amazing and I felt, so powerful because of the first part and how you draw a reader in xxx
Thank you, Shey! Your feedback is lovely xo
Beautiful, Ka! I especially love, “Close your eyes, and breathe
into your hands all the gifts you
are given, see them transforming
your mind, and turning it into
a beautiful branching, luminous crystal ”
❤
Thank you, Mary – This part of the poem was a wonderful surprise for me! 🙂
Hey Ka 🙂
A crystallisation of the breath of life composed posed poised and polished like a gemstone cut like a diamond set like a crystal in a flowing seam of never-ending gold. The mindful explosion from indecision to indelible certainty and profound wonder through the release of ‘creatively visualised’ breathing is brilliant – my thoughts and my senses are played with by your words acting together with the press of elemental forces and the experience of being in awe of creation itself. I breathed out only at the end. An excellent poem. 🙂
Your thoughts/words – you find seams to mine where others fear to tread and twine to wind that reels us in and through the eye of your metaphorical needle to be sown into the fabric of your thinking. This is one of my favourite poems from those I have read. Thank you for sharing and airing 🙂
Thank you for sharing part of your weekend chatting away on our Blogs. We’ve talked before of how good it is when we find friends on-line when we are for it somehow adds to the beautiful mystery and magic that pervades the friendships we enjoy here on WP. Thank you for yours Ka 🙂
I trust your weekend has left you keen, eager and alive with crystallised thought ready to manifest in the week and months ahead. I’ve no doubt you’ll bring most if not all to sparkling fruition.
Take care of you in all ways always, and look after Mr. Ka as you always do.
Namaste 🙂

I love the poem and that stanza in particular… Our beliefs might become burdens… most times, they entail prejudices, at least if we keep in mind the opposite thoughts. So many words were triggered by “those differences” (and Still are!)… An excellent, thought-provoking poem, dear Ka. Sending much love 😀 ❤
Hi Aqui!
Thank you so much my dear friend! That particular stanza really stood out to me, too. The line helped me to ‘receive’ an understanding, in a new way. I’m really glad that you liked this poem and found it thought-provoking, like I did. Sending lots of love right back xo!
Ka
A powerful piece of writing, Ka. A chill ran through me as I read the last few words. It was a chill of awareness. Beliefs and judgments are heavy lodestones tied together and worn around the neck. When visualizing your beautiful luminous crystal, I felt the stones lighten and disappear. The mind is powerful. Its thoughts are the energy that morph into matter and create our reality. As above, so below. As within, so without. You have sparked my synapses, my friend! Thank you so much ♥
YEs!!! I am so glad. My synapses were definitely snapping and sparkling a lot last night, too! ❤ I LOVE your imagery! ❤ and wisdom.
…a beautiful branching, luminous crystal – this is the most beautiful image painted with words I can remember imagining. And to watch it grow while deciding nothing and experiencing everything…is something I need. I’d love to paint something like this with paint, but I won’t decide that. 🙂 just now.
