Dismantling Illusion

Here’s where I am in A Course of Love, Combined Volume: The Course, The Treatise, The Dialogues

I stopped high-lighting everything in this crazy blaring green color. (at least for now).

Here’s a favorite part in a Course that’s quite whole

“The sameness that this Course calls you to is not a sameness of body or of habit. It asks not for monks or clones. It asks not that you give up anything but illusion, which is the giving up of nothing.”

This makes me chuckle, and sounds like a good idea. Oneness and sameness without clone-ship and illusionary sacrifice. There’s a lot to digest here, not to mention all that came before – thankfully my mind is on the present moment.

Piscean Moon … 🌙

    1. I’m not sure how long, Linda. I did not take down the exact date, but I’ve felt in alignment with ACOL before reading it. ACOL is everything that I wanted ACIM to be, and yet – I couldn’t imagine processing through it without having experienced ACIM first. ACOL is more magical….that’s my own wording….! Hah!

I enjoy your humorous/reasonable question about what happens after Pisces moon – which is VOC right now: what will be real? The book is not an illusion. If we live in a holographic universe and words are just representations for things that rarely exist, and we are a miraculous non-sequitur, then another happy day awaits!

This text is wonderful. It’s great fun. I’m appreciating how life weaves itself… and noting correspondences 🙂🧚🏻‍♀️

      Wishing you a loveliful evening

      1. I guess I will put it on my list for when the time is right. I know that Michael is also a big fan. I am just beginning, literally beginning to accept this hologram/matrix construct, which is different that duaity/non-duality as the Course and other philosophies teach. I feel quite wobbly about it, but it is always comforting to know that I am not going through this alone. You sound so content and joyful and that is wonderful!

        To a magical existence 🙂

        1. I just got your note 11 secs ago and hope to at some point soon make it over to your blog to read about your ancestry.

Aren’t we all beginners? It’s the place we always come back to with the most relevance to our current condition.

Michael from Embracing Forever introduced me to ACOL just by his mentioning it. It “took to me,” because it was already with me. Too much philosophy can cloud the heart-mind, but it doesn’t have to. What we seek is unity of our being-ness, peacefulness, and a language that can be experienced as shared.

Cheers my friend, you will enjoy it 🙂🌷🧚🏻‍♀️

  1. Hello Ka!

I’m delighted you are enjoying ACOL. I’ve just picked it up again, after a few months of setting it aside, and it speaks to me anew. I know there are so, so many paths to unity and healing. This is but one, but it speaks to me deeply. It’s more like a companion, a friend, a colleague, a simple joy of the heart that stirs my own heart. And always present, wherever we may find ourselves…

    Peace and Joy!
    Michael

    1. Hello Michael,

Thank you for visiting and sharing your experience of ACOL. I thought maybe you were a teacher of ACOL. I don’t really know what that means, perhaps you could tell me.

I relate to the enjoyment of time away and finding a new relationship with an older text, or teaching, or hobby, or __________ [insert lovable activity or skill cultivation] process.

I find that ACOL is corresponding very nicely with many of my other activities/work and is acting as a unifying force (or field).

      Much aloha,
      Ka

  2. I learned very early on that it was useless to highlight…because it would be the whole book!! 🙂 Sending lots of love and good energy to you dear Ka! I have been ‘reading’ the Course for years…and I am not finished…and even when I am finished…I will start again!
    Much love, friend ❤

    1. Lorrie, if you are currently enjoying A Course in Miracles, you may also enjoy A Course in Love. According to the book, it’s the continuation of ACIM and, to me, it’s everything I was hoping for in ACIM but found in ACOL. I’m in the process of reading the Dialogues now. The book I have is the combined Volume which includes “The Course, The Treatises, and The Dialogues.”

Yes, the note about the highlighting is funny. It ended up that I use erasable highlighters so that I can read anew if i choose.

Much love right back, so lovely to hear from you as always ❤

      1. Hi Beautiful Ka! Yes…yes…yes… I devoured ACOL…It was more “readable” and spoke to my heart in so many ways. In fact it has been over a year since I finished so it may be time to take it out again 😉

ACIM, on the other hand, is quite the tome, and I can only read it in snippets…and sometimes I have to reread the snippet to really get it! But it is an amazing work that is valid and important and so many times speaks directly to something that is going on in my life!

Hope you are well, Ka. I’m doing well…i thought I would post today but that didn’t work out…maybe tomorrow 😉 Much love to you 💜💜

        1. Aye, yes – beautiful Lorrie! 💜🌴 after I wrote you that message it occurred to me that you had been reading both “Courses”…. and no doubt that you devoured ACOL. So interesting our experiences of the two courses and I do relate. I’ll let it be what it is…. in the long term, for me ACOL has been described by the word “magical” – and it goes well with my other workings, experiences, processes, etc. I guess it’s just how I relate to that word right now.

When you post, you post 🌸💗🌸 ~
In the meantime: Happy Father’s Day!
It’s a good day to post whenever you are ready to post! I am celebrating Fatherhood today. I am soooo glad that you are doing well! I am, too. A bit tired but, I have spurts on other days, when I roller skate. 💗⭐️💗 Lots of love back! 🙂🤗
