Mercury retrograde Dec. 2022

I don’t know how many of us have been even unconsciously/consciously planning for the Mercury retrograde set to start moving backwards on December 22 to January 18, 2023. I know for me, I’ve had to slow way down–take my time getting through being sick, and nurse myself into health. But also I’ve needed to feel into some more challenging emotions and allow them to move though me gently. It’s a Capricornian retrograde during the Capricornian season. I’ve got Capricorn in my 11th and 12th houses, and it’s never been my favorite sign. Career path and career recognition as well as earning enough income to live has always been a challenge for me. I think it’s because of this, I never felt like I self-actualized. I’ve never been fired from a job. I always excelled at all the jobs I did. However, I was always left longing for something more. I was looking for my purpose. There was a period of time when I was working in IT for a very well known company, and I thought that all I wanted to do was work up the line and gain experience through this career. The job benefits were great. I was always winning awards and making a decent income while working special shift hours. Then my boss was demoted due to his on-going health problems. It was then that I decided I need to do something radically different. I needed to work for an organization that cared about their employees. Even more than that, I wanted to go into business for myself, and sell something I actually cared about. So I started learning massage in 2008. However, it wasn’t until a couple of months ago that I actually started my own business.

  1. I started my own Remedial Massage business and the other people in the building could not believe I was happy turning up to work, enjoyed my day and rocked out of the building still smiling each day 🀣 It took a while to build it but once word gets out at how good or not you are, it will go accordingly. Just do it on many friends first, family to start with and get an idea from their feedback. And especially learn to do a head massage, people hold most of their stress there and if you have nice gentle hands they will love you to bits. Oh, and most certainly use Macadamia oil, it is very close to the oils in our own skin and the ladies will love the moisturizer as well as the massage. Just get a very clear (well filtered, it will be very clear to the eye with no yellow coloring) variety because if it has the yellow that is the part that gives it a strong smell. Not that it is bad but it needs to be a gentle smell not like someone has poured nuts all over you 🀣 But that was an interesting part of my life where I learned to feel a ‘knowing’ of illness and messages coming through to go on into my spiritual counseling. Good luck with it, I only did it for 2 years but I had full days within 6 or 8 months or so. And one more thing, because of the physical energy required to do massage I ended up sharing a room with another lady so that we just had half a day each and whenever we needed some time off we would do hours or days for each other or even do full days about or two or three days straight. It was a great arrangement. Especially here on the seaside during holidays you would get hammered with the tourists wanting a massage. I hope it goes well πŸ˜€β€οΈπŸ™πŸ½πŸ¦‹πŸŽ…πŸ½πŸ¦ŒπŸ•ŠπŸŽ„πŸŽβ›„οΈ

    1. I had a whole reply to you and it disappeared! The gist of it was that I am a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese medicine. I used to practice massage therapy and sometimes I include myofasical release in my work! I love myofasical release, too. There are so many techniques I’ve developed over the years. I said to you that I’m not surprised that you became such a cherished and much wanted practitioner! Have a wonderful day, week, and Holy days! Thanks for sharing your experiences!

      1. Don’t you love WordPress, all that effort and poof, into the ethers it goes 🀣 Thank you kind lady, and you’ve obviously been through all the fun of startup long ago and developed the heart that it takes for healing, in whatever mode is used. I was a late starter (40), I must have had a few things to do first, like marriage and fatherhood at 17 πŸ˜‚
Anyway thank you for both your replies, and whatever your journey may it go with your heart Ka. Many blessings, love and light for this Christmas holiday and may you and yours enjoy the time πŸ˜€β€οΈπŸ™πŸ½πŸŽ…πŸ½

  2. Kudos on finding your passion and turning it into a business. Those pieces never came together for me. I’ve worked independent sales much of my career and was self-employed, but wasn’t really running a business. Now, I’m happy to be working part-time and semi-retired. Happy Holidays Ka!

      1. Yes my friend, yes! I think we are living in a β€œhigh growth” era. Events are more swift, and each of us is processing more information on the daily. Life events are sped up because of the quick transactional nature of e-commerce. Oh, goodness, Mercury retrograde and all the retrograde planets can help slow us down in the midst of it all and throw some wrenches in our wheels as we are given ever more reasons to reflect for a time longer on what we can do to simplify!
