Poem #3 Day 3

You are born from,

And live in, abundance

Your heart’s beating

does not require

Your thoughts

Your happiness

Your emotions

You live with a ticking. A Regular gift.

That helps your lungs join with the wind

That helps your mouth merge with the plants,

receive water through your

cupped hands

Your body is alive

Without your mind to govern it

only brain 🧠 and

body as one harmony

in call and response

In ups and downs

walking left, right, left

talking , opening and closing

breathing in, and breathing out

jumping

What a gift it is

to seek out another day’s senses,

events, sunstreams, roses

coffeetalk

How will the sunset look tonight?

How will your belly feel from your

nourishment?

How warm is your blanket,

how cool is your sheet?

Drifting now,

Drifting deep, into the clouds

deep into the woods

what shapes do you seek?

what shadows on the wall?

Abundant, malleable, earthy life

Transform it with your thoughts

Transform it with your might

Open and close your hands

A baby learns to clap

One more step

One more lap

Old and new, and new again

Walk this road

go around this bend

You are born from oceans

resplendent with fish

and starlight-reflecting

whale’s song, whale’s wish

a ginormous beating heart

Abundant —

in the matrix,

from the start

Entirety

The entirety of who I Am

Is wrapped up and co-mingling

with

who

You Are

We are connected anciently, dynamically

Metaphysically

the oneness of us is a snug

sung hug

Like an iceberg, but warm

melted but firm

Like submerged and unformed

But solid and chosen

Joined and intentional

There is a peeking, glimmering opening

To US

I can see it in my mind’s eye, glinting

I can hear through whispers, shivering

Our nature is rupturing in unbroken rebreaking, thread-bearing openness

I can see the strings where we are joined

turn golden

as the sunlight rises upon our fractures

illuminating our contours

I can smooth your edges with you

As you smooth mine.

We can weave together in a new way

as we recognize our separation together with our wholeness intact and replete

overflowing into new dimensional awareness

We are never not.

We did not ever,

never exist

.

Thunderous tears

water falls from the sky

tired of holding back,

release me from this cloud.

she snakes onto the ground

finding surfaces that take her downhill

slipping at moments, running fast

she gets stuck along the way;

pooled up, tears surround her.

the ground gets so heavy; it’s so wet.

how can she hold back anymore?

there’s no where to go..

she’s the farthest downhill she can go

she’s at the bottom.

The bottom’s bottom.

Building the new structures

Ka Malana Photography 2024

Hello loves and friends,

Construction 🚧 and art 🖼️, design and building. Here we make things from the “brick and mortar” of our imaginations. Putting out fires 🔥 and riding on trains. The city is always bustling just like the movement in our brains.

If you are new to my blog you will find many different displays. What I do know is that you will not be dismayed. Creativity is fuel for the soul!

This space is being constructed as we think and speak! 🗣️ Come, come, and join us!

A wonder; those letters

This is more of a “coffee chat” blog post. Although I have not tried to write in that style per se. There’s a blog share that I often read with the topic of the “coffee chat” but I’ve never tracked back to who hosts it. Well, it’s not the time to do that now because I’m just flowing…

Tonight it occurred to me that I have a pile of letters that I wrote to my grandmother while I was growing up. In 2020 when she passed away at the age of 99, and maybe a year later, I received the letters back.

I put them inside of a drawer without a deeper thought than, “woah” as I bumped up against versions of my former self I wasn’t quite ready to visit, yet.

When the time is right, I’ll know. But it’s been at least over a year since I actually put the letters away in a drawer. Those juicy memories might all come flooding back. There might be uncomfortable memories…too…

And, then, there’s gonna be just a lot of emotions. So I am on ‘pause’ with it.

Has this ever happened to any of you? It feels like a treat, or a special pastry I’ll be able to enjoy at some point in my future once I get over whatever fears of triggered memories might be inside—or maybe just missing her and the past, and getting those strange glimpses into the past through a time capsule I hadn’t planned on stowing away for later opening? Sigh. When the time is right.

Astrological pairing:

Universal: Mercury (planet of communication) stationing Direct

Personal: Mercury is Stationing Direct in my 1st house (4 house from my 10th house —father’s mother), conjoining my natal Neptune, which is currently still transiting my 1st house (which relates back to paternal grandmother). The fact that it’s in Pisces ♓️ shares a little bit about dreams and ideals, and maybe I just convinced myself to get to reading those letters sooner than later. Or start with one a week or something, so I don’t get overwhelmed (Pisces). Natal Neptune is in Sagittarius, so it’s likely I will be inspired by the letters and the topic will probably be about traveling the most of all.

Collaboration

One of the most fun aspects of parenting is sharing the joys of color and movement with new/emerging artists. Art is so inherent to all of us.

I doodled a drawing ✍️ and my daughter saw it and got really excited because she wanted to color it in. So she did.

Today is New Year’s Eve and freshly cut flowers are on the table that I wanted her to pick out. We are on our way to our church and appreciating the foggy 🌫️ and rainy day which is a unique occurrence in our sunny home city. 🌆. New beginnings are so exciting. Especially because we also begin ‘again’ at the Lunar New Year 🧧 where we will be welcoming the Fire 🔥 Dragon 🐉. I’ll be running a class at that time, called “Reluctant Shaman.” It’s meant to be a small group, so the spots are full for this iteration. If you are interested in joining, use the contact form and I will add you to a wait list which is approximately 7-8 weeks from now.

Let me use this moment to ask you about your small, perhaps unnoticed collaborations. You might be working with roommates, family members, or even pets. If there are none of these friends to buddy-up with around, then maybe you can invite in a spiritual guide.

Wouldn’t you like to collaborate more in the New Year? Here are some thoughts for your consideration.

1). Name one of your favorite flowers.

2). Go to the internet (this one should be easy) and look up as many different images of your favorite flower.

3). Either go clip your flower from outside after asking it permission. Or, go to the grocery store to purchase your favorite flower. If neither of these options are available, then just look at the image of your favorite flower and IMAGINE the smell.

4). After you have done this, write a little note to the person who you would like to collaborate with. Tell them they are a great friend, sibling, roommate, and list one quality you love about them. Then if it’s not a real, in-flesh person, put the note next to your nightstand, and sleep with it near you for 31 days.

Happy NYE!!

P.S. Even if you did none of the above things, still check back later to see if your seed planted and it might even take root simply with your focused desire while reading. ☺️

Butterfly 🦋 Art 🖼️ Love 💓

My sweet 4 year old made her first painting with me at the play art studio at the Denver Children’s Museum. She did this completely on her own with no help from me!

I did spend hours setting up her shop, however. We had a bit of unexpected travel, and my acupuncture business is still being built. This year has brought us so many unexpected expenses, damage from water and the threat from the hurricane that fortunately didn’t cause harm. I’ve had years of debilitating pain that I am now mostly fully free of—but threats still linger. Back pain according to Louise Hay and many others is associated with money challenges and lack of feeling/being supported. I’ve been trying to help people via astrology consultations, reiki, shamanism, and I have a lot of offerings. It’s a challenge for me to learn how to get the word out. I made such a difference in my own life and I really wish others would receive the gifts I have spent decades cultivating.

Please consider purchasing from HER new shop just for fun. http://www.redbubble.com/people/violetbuster or https://www.redbubble.com/shop/ap/151264449

I think she’s already a talented painter. I will be posting her other designs as soon as I have more time! I hope that you enjoy!

If you have any good business energy know-how to send me; that’d be great. If I am lacking in talent and expression, please just let me know how I can improve. I’ve invested so much of myself in being able to offer so many services to others. If anyone is interested in any distant Reiki or Shamanic sessions, I’d be happy to help you. This is my best attempt at shameless self-promotion!

Sending blessings out to all of you. You are all appreciated and I only want to build and get the word out. Let me know if you are interested in my offerings, and if you are curious but hesitant, how can I help? I have an empty 2nd house in Pisces so my material interests have always been spiritual in nature.

Colorific fun

I was playing with some water color pens for a few minutes while I had some time. I was enjoying making an outline and bringing my emotions into the ink choices.

Probably the most I fun I had was afterwards though. What I noticed is that when I took a photo, the colors didn’t look like they were on the page. What I had to do was to make adjustments in order for it to show up how I was seeing it in real life, on the water color page.

Often times we don’t think about how sometimes it takes a lot of extra “art” work to make something truly depicting the actual and real. We often walk around in society acting like the unedited object is the real object. However this is not often the case. In this respect, it actually takes skill to show the authentic—it takes editing.

We have to strive to bring the actual colors through. We do this spiritually, too. It’s not a ‘given’ that what you see, unfiltered, is the real thing. Filters aren’t always masks—sometimes they reveal and sometimes they allow or make it easier for us to see what’s *really* there.

We can’t erase the filter of the mind; a mind will always exist, because it is the nature of conditioning that our minds exist. Sometimes we just have to change our minds and replace our filters with more updated versions, editing our behaviors is what follows, so that what we get, in the end, is an expression of our true nature. This takes daily practice.

Before we close

don’t want to dance on the ashes

of 2022!

It’s too soon to discard what was then and

now just celebrate the new!

But it’s coming fast, and as I hold on tight

Not relenting just isn’t quite right.

So I will take my time up until the very end

And delicately hold my 2022 as my passing friend,

For it brought me more joy and delight

Than my hopes from 2021 could ignite

And wishes granted than the former trend.

I have come home to truly mend

My vision and my mind,

and now the sights on what’s behind

has been a pause and a trigger

For what could 2023 deliver

upon what’s already been given and kind?

I will open my hand and say goodbye

Just not before, not too soon, 2022, is behind.

my heart is full of sunsets

the ocean,

and the sound of your name.

it beats like a drum pulsing steadily

upon our bone throne.

my bones amplify the frequency

and house our spirits’ timbre

which transduces across my abdomen

as my lungs rise.

with each breath,

a vacuum is reclaimed.

your mind is full of ponderous wonder

like the craters on the moon, you sink

deep into thought shadows,

your feet and shoes disappearing

altogether

as you try to weight yourself down to

“sink in.”

my eyes are confidants;

as I listen to the stories of lonely

ghosts, I watch their energy quiver.

the beginning

in the beginning

i’m rising like a landmass

uncarved like Pangea

unbridled like a dragon 🐉

whose fire finds the hero by

skimming along the craggy coastal line

overlooking colors, scanning its domain

yellow warm lay the grasses

pleasant in the sun, combed by the wind

deep green rise the forests

protected humus layered depths

tangling tree fingers spread with skies

fractals finding spaces to replicate

nature’s expanse

this Earth’s anchor is a morphic reminder

that nothing is solid

we are in the center as awareness, golden

flowing molten iron swirling,

balancing aurora flashing green tones

while the amethyst crystal horizon line

guides us into the dusk of

our true and formal beginning: the end.

All that comes with the setting Sun.

A place

There’s a place we can go where we can reach

anything in our heart’s desire.

I can light a match and open a door.

The magic is thick with the spark.

My animal guide walks in and we are transported

through the keyhole into

the Garden.

I am here with you now, tending to your roses that are

growing in the snow.

We hear the drip drip from the ice thawing

and I open my cloak and reach out for your hand.

You are silent and I touch your heart with my hand.

Inside it I can feel your hurting beat, I surround the area

and clear out the dry rot.

I pull away the termites and open up your light. Your lantern pulses.

A star above your head opens, and it spills its light

into your heart.

We close your blue cloak and sit in the dark atop the

patches of iced moss.

We surrender to the shape of our breaths flowing from our mouths.

After a moment’s pause, I say,

“Let’s go home and make some soup.”

You agree and we light another match.

We are transported into our kitchen away from the garden

Garlic, tomato, basil and oregano are all prepared for us

near the stove.

You sit down at the table,

and I begin to cook for you,

with the biggest smile on my face.

The lull of time is in its non-existence…

First, this blog post is partly inspired by Tiramit at Dhamma Footsteps’s blog post, “Without beginning and without end”. In Tiramit’s post he writes about the now-moment, the present moment–and how its really all there is. Concepts of Past, Present and Future are descriptors and constructs. He writes of personal synchronicities with naming one of his blog categories, “now-moment,” as it aligns with some of some of Meister Eckhart’s 14th century thinking and writing. He quotes David Loy in Insight Journal to express the points that time could be a construct.

“We are not in time because we are time. Our nature is temporal which means we are not things; we are bundles of physical and mental processes. And when we become nondual with those processes, the past is not something that falls away, and the future is not something that’s coming. Then we live “in” what is sometimes called the eternal present. Etymologically the word “eternity” means without beginning and without end. What is without beginning and without end? It’s always now.” [David Loy, qtd. in Dhamma Footsteps]

It is here where I depart and examine instead the concept of time in terms of General Relativity, Quantum Physics, Loop Quantum Gravity, and String Theory.

For Einstein, the father of General Relativity: “the distinction between past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion” (Einstein, 1955, Letter). This is not inconsistent with the idea of mathematical intuitionism.

Introduced by the 20th-century, by the L.E.J. Brouwer, a Dutch mathematician, Mathematical Intuitionism is a school of thought that posits that the main objects of mathematical discourse are mental constructions governed by self-evident laws. However, as a physicist, I doubt that Einstein was a mathematical intuitionist. He was busy using mathematics to describe and understand physics and develop General Relativity.

For Einstein, Time is relative to the frame of reference. The rate at which time passes is based on your speed and acceleration at any moment. With Einstein’s General Relativity, the faster you travel, the slower time appears to pass. I tend to think of aging as ‘time’ defined as a succession of events. The “amount” of time that’s gone by, therefore, would not be measured by a clock, but by the number of events that happened in a time frame. With social media, and information exchange happening faster than we can imagine, I think of how we experience this dual process of aging and increased technology use delivering event information faster, as all leading to a very fast pace of life. We are also ‘producing’ more during these times.

Look at how when we are young children, we have biological clocks that are going absurdly fast compared to adult standards. A child’s brain is 80% grown in size by age 3 and by age 5, 90% in size. This biological clock is going so quickly that the child’s perception of time is likely to be extremely slow in comparison to the adults’. It was also Einstein who said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.” From here, we can extrapolate that even in the pace of our own lives, the greater world is moving at an even faster pace, for we are only witnessing and participating in tiny “snap shots” of the whole events that could exist, as we imagine really are existing without our witnessing or participating in them.

Quantum Physics

Wait, put on the breaks! I’m feeling like I’m in a black hole. This is where General Relativity (GR) doesn’t work very well. What Quantum Physics (QP) does is introduce uncertainty. In complete irony for the uncertainty appreciation that Quantum Physics releases is that “time in quantum mechanics is rigid, not bendy and intertwined with the dimensions of space as in relativity” (Wolchover, 2020).  Apparently, quantum physics isn’t resolutely deterministic or indeterministic. There is still so much that is unknown about the overall definition of time. This is one of the challenges of merging the theory of GR with the QP.

Loop Quantum Gravity

(MirageC/Getty Images) as seen in ScienceAlert.com

Holy smokes, in Loop Quantum Gravity (LQG), apparently time does not exist at all! According to Sam Baron who writes for ScienceAlert.com, “while physics might eliminate time, it seems to leave causation intact: the sense in which one thing can bring about another.” Now doesn’t that make us scratch our heads? The best that I can understand LQG is that space-time is woven together as network with hubs. In this type of theory, gravity might exist as quanta or packets. Apparently these loops are connected by nods forming spin networks which create spin foam.

This is the best video I found on the above topics, but I didn’t get any closer to understanding time! It really lays out all of these theories about understanding the nature of everything. The main issue is why are there two separate laws and rules for the very large and the very small. Therefore, it is clear that general relativity is not the explanation of everything! Quantum theories arose because classical physics didn’t explain the nature of physics fully, under all circumstances. The smallest unit of time is the Planck time. It is the time it takes light to traverse one Planck length, the smallest duration of time that has physical meaning.

String Theory

LQG does not try to form a unified theory of everything as does String Theory (ST). ST requires that space-time have 10 spacial dimensions for it to exist as it has been hypothesized. However, so far there is no evidence for these extra dimensions. Here is a short, non-comprehensive list of things that we need to have evidence for in order for ST to be true/accurate and not just theoretically attractive:

1). 10 space-time dimensions (Super-string theory)

  • Bosonic 26 dimensions
  • M-theory 11 dimensions

2). That time did not have a beginning and will not have an end (existence before the big-bang)

3). Super-symmetry (a partner particle for each standard particle)

  • (mini black holes have not been created in labs)

4). There are questions about whether or not String Theory can even be put to the experimental test.

Does it matter that Time does or does not exist?

For as long as there is a practical application for space-time, such as planning a family outing or vacation, agreeing with a friend on where to meet for tea or coffee, and deciding when to hold a wedding, I think that time will always be needed. What theoretical physics says about time with regard to the nature of reality, well, that’s still undecided by the physicists–for the most part. Also, we still don’t have a theory of everything that would make us feel confident for how time fits in neatly with all the things. How our understanding of time affects god/goddess and beingness? I’m not so sure. In moments of meditation, I don’t need time, because I already put that ‘time aside’ for either another investigation or an open process to experience energy without any constructs but potentially being in my body. Time is not needed then.

I like that I can have a ‘take it or leave it’ idea about time–use it when it’s necessary, and ditch it when it gets in the way of connecting within my imagination and potentially other dimensions. I feel like science backs my approach to time with our lack of understanding as species towards the nature of the universe. The theories exist, unsupported, but I am delighted that we still have so much to discover! I wonder if I would get so tired at night if it weren’t for the biological processes related to events taking place throughout the day, the use of ATP by my cells, the melatonin response to the calendar of the sky’s lights, and the biological clock-work of my cells measuring my movements, and lulling me into the end of my day. Or maybe my body wisens to the non-existence of time, and rests in it–in dream space, freed from it for a while.

I hope you enjoyed this exploration! Please leave a comment in the box below and let me know that you were here. Let me know if you read the whole thing, or only parts. Let me know if you visited any of the links below, or the video above. I know that i am enriched due to my exercise and exploration through time and physics, taking a small foray into a big, endless subject (finite or infinite, who knows?!).

Until next time we shall meet here… I wish you a wonderful day full of wonder 🙂 I might tackle microtubules for another time.

Art, poetry and dudes, with Ka Malana — Fiesta Estrellas (reBLOGaton Day15)

The dudes interviewed me!!!!!!!! ❤ ❤ ❤

Art, poetry and dudes, with Ka Malana — Fiesta Estrellas

Hello Friends! I don’t know what happened to the original post, but I was so so so happy to be interviewed by those snarky little dudes at Shehanne Moore’s Smexy historical romance domain. Honestly, I can’t think of a better honor. I didn’t really have any time to promote my 2017 debut poetry book, Art for Art, at the time when I wrote it. In fact, I don’t think I ever really did get around to promoting it. Promotion is something that a person has to learn to do. It’s an art in and of itself. You know who is an incredible authoress and human, though?! Shehanne Moore

Her dudes have been making me laugh since about 2016-2017 when I started reading her blog. She hosts very interesting authors and artists. She hosts a perfect variety of intriguing and talented authors, and she always supports her clan. Sheyis top-notch for supporting her clan. Reading about her adventures in Dundee has been really fun over the years. There’s always a lot to learn from her because she’s very knowledgeable. She and her husband, Mr. Shey ;), have put on some spectacular plays which she has also shared and written about on her blog throughout the years. She even helped me try out a new genre called historical romance (which she writes well, I might add). For one, I never really read romance, nor history.. but The Unraveling of Lady Fury had me pleasantly surprised. Her heroines aren’t typical–that’s why they are definitely worth the read. Did you hear that Lady Fury went Manga!? My, my my that was all the way back in 2019!!! How cool is that?! Who writes a historical romance and has it go Manga? Shey. The post includes holiday pictures (and it’s almost that time of year again!).

Anyways, thank you for visiting my reBLOGathon celebration month’s daily post. Half-way there! At the end, I will link them all up in one post so that you don’t miss anything–then I will be running around December visiting everyone’s blog like a quick & focused ghost, phantoming my comments upon your page. I will be the ghost of Christmas past, present and future… LOL–and I’ll write in real letters and not just “haunt” you nicely… but comment nicely 😉 Because I love reading your blogs! ❤ I love blogging, and I am celebrating so much, so much, my friends ❤ Until we meet again, tomorrow, I bid thee, good day ::tips hat::

Each year (for a while, maybe since 2019?) I have teamed up with the Cheer Peppers to blog every day of the month in November. Click the link below for their posts. I chose the theme of ReBLOGathon, but they might be posting their own themes or randoms 🙂 Enjoy
