You know, we can ask for it-
and beg and plead,
but sometimes,
happiness wants to play
tag, and sometimes,
“you’re about to be ‘it,‘”
(and you don’t
even know it,)
until your eating your
granola snack behind
your favorite tree
at your
cousin’s house,
on a wicked hot
summer afternoon,
slurping up your
favorite, grape drink,
only to get startled a little bit
when happiness sneaks up,
tosses out a
💦 water balloon 🎈and says,
“bet you can’t catch me!”
and before you know it,
‘you’re it,’ 🏃
again.

of an overjoyed child!
may it continue being
so, daily, dear mom 🙂
Yes, how sometimes it is like a game, and we don’t even realize we’ve been playing it, until we find the delight. Thank you, David

I love how you described the friendly chase of a carefree game of tag. When one plays with happiness, there is rarely anything but sunshine and roses.
Truly felt dear Ka… here’s to feeling many more occasions. Love Barbara x
