Self-Kindness meditation

Yay! Today is Pepper day! It’s the 22nd of each month. This month is especially peppery since we are doing the November Nano Poblano 2020 blogging challenge.

Enjoy the meditation I recorded for you above! Give yourself a hug: you deserve it.

This weekend at my NCGR meeting, I learned that a woman who was a very kind and loving friend, and astrologer, passed away. I hadn’t known. I looked back at the last text message she sent to me in January 2020 after meeting my daughter, and I felt very glad that I had the chance to meet her. I’m sad that I didn’t get to know her more, or work with her more. I had only been to her house a couple of times for her classes. She was an amazing mentor to so many. I missed out in a lot of ways. One year she told me that she added us (my family) to her special New Year wishes and ritual. I felt so touched. I saw her at over a dozen meetings these past few years before I had my baby, and before the pandemic.

  1. Thank you for the meditation, Ka. It’s a lovely thing to gift in memory of your friend. I’m saving it for later in the day when the household is a little less hectic. It will be a sweet way to mellow out and transition into evening. ❤

    1. I hope you enjoyed the meditation if you got to it, if not, the opportunity to meditate with this track (or others that I’ve recorded and shared), is always available 🙂. I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving, and I’m looking forward to reading more muse conversations soon over at myths of the mirror! So far my muse has been working behind the scenes without discernible commentary, but sometimes it’s fun to just read and enjoy other peoples’ muses, most certainly! I think I have a lot of communications going on inside, but also a lot of noise and busyness, so I rely on the meditation to smooth things out and maybe the creativity will rise up and out.

It’s sad that this friend of mine has passed away. It’s still hard to believe.

      1. I did get to meditate. I try to take at least 10 minutes a day. I had a very quiet Thanksgiving and stayed away from the computer all day! Much needed. I hope your Thanksgiving was peaceful and a time to think with thankfulness of all those people who touched your life. ❤

  2. I’m sorry about the passing of your friend. Of course her strong spirit lives on. Thankyou for sharing with us about her and for the meditation during which I thought of a cat purring.
