Aquarius Full Moon: Tune in and listen to the cosmic death poetry

I pulled a card for this full moon, for all of us. Since this full moon is energetically lit with an incredible, vivid contrast, I wanted to know more about the poetry Spirit told me about… and here it is in this card:

This card says, “The sense of loss was tempered with the joy of release and the promise of regeneration.” (Ryan & Matthews, 2011, p. 63)

That’s just the point of this full moon, perhaps. But there is more.

It does have some questions. Take your time reading them.

How can we stay “available” as an observer? How to be ‘in the poetry’ and not merely the object of its annihilation? How do we release the center-point of the obstacle within our framework as a ‘someone’ experiencing the ending of our former selves, cast off into flames? Can we not just go poof in the night, wake up gently, and be refreshed? Must the ending be so harsh?

If you’ve been feeling deeply from the nourishing invitation of the previous new moon in Cancer, you might have made yourself a softer bed to lie on, as you collapse into oblivion, that is…

The answer, I believe, is to tune into that lowest hum of the cosmic voice. It reads like poetry to your heart if it uses its ears…yeah you read that right, and it’s not mere synesthesia.

In true Aquarian style: the cosmos/your heart is saying something quite unique for each and everyone one of us. Your own body is the instrument to retrieve this. You use your senses to find it, but you also transcend those very senses in the process of recognizing them. Take your time. Read slowly.

So if this link down below doesn’t embed properly, it’s fair game to just tune in by yourself and putting “additional information” aside. (Looks like it ended up being a link. It should, at the very least, open in a new tab for you.) If you chose to tune into yourself and see if you heard anything, even better. The video at the link is long and you might not have the time for it, so precede with the text, instead. It’s your call.

With this Full Moon in Aquarius conjunct Pluto AND opposite the Sun in Leo conjunct Jupiter: the very ‘bright’ meets the very ‘dark.’ It’s a stark difference in consciousness for those who are observers. It’s full of endings and detachment. It’s a full moon for the record books that says, “this is what I learned (what burned), and this is what I definitely didn’t learn (I might do it again, I’m not safe yet!), and here’s how I am going to move forward, regardless (it’s time to be more brave and remove myself from attempting to control outcomes).” Why? Because outcomes are not the point.

The nodes have recently swept out of Pisces/Virgo, so we aren’t looking for either perfection nor redemption anymore. We have lost patience with anything like that. Do you see that Mars square Venus? That’s a nice, feisty aspect. It can bring the spicy you need for any additional purge. It adds additional rev and verve. Look closely, it might sparkle.

This is not your time to spring forward though. It’s more of a step-aside–a taking of assessment. Saturn recently stationed retrograde, which to me, supports my point. Take a deeper inward breath, and gaze at that dang navel. If you do this with gentleness, it will lead you back into the world of community, of humanity–the humanity that has hope and vision, and the one that WILL adapt. Because adaptation is really what is called for. Adaptation is your calling. It’s not a wholesale destruction. It’s an opening point that can only show itself after you’ve really allowed yourself to clear the smoke of all those fires within and without burning relentlessly… the Fires that have been blazing and necessitating your attention. We aren’t here to put out the fire. We are here to really get aligned with the purpose of the fire, really hear and know its message. That’s going to be different for each and every one of you.

I will mention, though, that with all that Leo energy, it’s quite possible you might spontaneously combust and burn into the person you weren’t meant to leave behind, leaving the luminosity of Spirit, the one who guides you, ever more at the forefront.

Full Moon In Leo: “Who is this I?”

Hello lovely friends and visitors,

Whether I’ve known you for a while and we are constantly exchanging endearments (thank you!I can’t enjoy that enough!), or you are new to my world here at Fiestaestrellas.com, you are equally welcome 🙂 Come, and warm yourself by the virtual fire. You are welcomed into this space of our remembering unity.

I’m sitting here in the firelight with the chart for the full moon in Leo. See above, above. As a “Leo Sun,” myself, it gives me something to draw from: my own limited (yet nevertheless valuable) experience. Ironically, my own experience is deepening and expanding so much so that I am not identifying with the same “I” as I used to. Take a pause here with me.

Does the “I” have context and contents that are really real?

There is more awareness around myself AS others. You and me, we are one. Sometimes I can see myself sitting at my desk, writing. Doing the things I do with awareness of both being in the body, and not of the body.

We are.

It’s odd how the mind just needs to be trained to see things as they really are.

The Course In Miracles and many other tools exist to try to train/untrain the mind into clarity. You may ask, why isn’t clarity just inherent? It’s a great question.

I think the answer is that the mind is malleable, flexible, and at best: ‘neutral’ as its own inherent quality. But this also makes the mind impressionable. We are formed and forged by our backgrounds, environments, ancestors, connections, and familiarity. Eventually these impressions harden like any good molding material that you want to use for later (memory!).

What I learn from my deepening with Buddhism through the lens of my current teacher Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, or “Geshla,” is that the nature of reality really is emptiness. Nothing exists on the other side of the mind. The mind is the generator of all phenomena on the mind’s side of things. So if we identify this mind with the “I” we are lost in the woods, so to speak. But, if we never form memories or impressions, we are also lost in the woods, so to speak. chuckle.

What the meaning is of life therefore is the meaning you give it. Who is “you?” Where are its boundaries?

For this Full Moon in Leo, we have Uranus in a nearly perfect square (90 degree) aspect to both the Sun and Mercury (in Aquarius) as one point of focus and the moon in Leo on the opposite point of focus. Dividing that opposition (180 degrees) or line, is Uranus: the Great Awakener. The planet does have this reputation for a reason. In 1781, the astronomer William Herschel looked up into the constellation of Gemini and thought he found a comet but it turned out to be the 7th planet in our solar system. In fact, Herschel wanted to name Uranus after a British monarch but many others in the world disagreed so they stuck to the convention of naming the planet after a figure in mythology; however, Uranus is Greek, and not Roman like the other planet names, which makes Uranus “unique.” This is a “break” from convention. If that’s not weird enough, Uranus’s orbit is virtually perpendicular to its orbital pathway; Uranus is laying down and spinning. Since Uranus was a later discovery from Saturn (the rule-maker), Uranus gets the reputation of reality construct breaker. Uranus is also “in charge” of what we consider the collective for humanity. Well, as if we aren’t completely thrown into a new world, already this year in 2025 with great billionaire bulls in the China shops of politics, government, and businesses, slashing and burning our structures and institutions one by one. Institutions (like Rome) that weren’t built in a day. The majority of us would probably agree the slash and burn is happening without any ideas of reasonable replacement. It FEELS careless, at best.

So, where does all this put a Leo full moon? Well, you can run around talking about how Leo is so self-important and aiming to just “show off” or you could see how the “individual,” “me” and “I,” is really a veneer or avatar FOR the collective. No one gets anywhere without their ego to help them stay alive. If you are dead, then, well, you aren’t doing anything–at all. Unless you are a strong ghost (but even then, you probably needed to have a strong ego in life before you died). Ego is almost synonymous with the mind in the way I am defining here. It’s inherently neutral and merely a creator. It’s a little creator, though. It doesn’t make anything real. The false Ego is the one that generates the delusions. The healthy ego is the one that is in balance with the whole, as part of it, as a collaborator with the collective.

Imagine if we didn’t have names. It would be very confusing in the early days of telephones when they used to be SHARED by households. Who are you calling for? What if you wanted to get someone’s attention in a crowd? What if you are the one holding the “hot potato” in the “hot potato” game. WE can’t call you. Having a name is like having an existence. Having an existence allows you to be considered, heard, referred to, etc etc. So the mind is so important for sorting things out and helping all of us be US– getting through our days with some healthy little bit of order.

This is where Leo comes in. What stands out to me with Leo, as a sign, is COURAGE. Leo exists. There’s an organizing principle not because anyone is special and deserves it. But, nature and energy, is organized. When we watch and marvel at life being formed, we look at how the cells collect and specialize. That’s a lot like us. We are nature. We are not separate from it. We are not merely destroying nature separate from ourselves. We are organization. We are an organizing force, and this is where, to me, the APPEARANCE of Leo shows up. The energy to BE. The energy to exist. It requires collaboration. It requires creation even in the form of little “i.” That “i” cannot be negated, nor should you really want it to be. It need be integrated, but not to fully dissolve. It can gain momentum and organizing power, momentum. Courage is not just a quality of character, its a quality of energy. It requires health to be courageous. It requires strength. This is what we want to cultivate during our Leo times.

Mercury direct station and the New Moon in Sagittarius, reflections — Fiesta Estrellas

Reality is an illusion or “user-defined.”That’s my own declaration; but it’s also an oversimplification. There’s a shared reality, too (in a sane world with sane people). I was talking to Mr. Ka about the fact that I feel like I am getting upgraded, and not in the same sense as from a place from an alien civilization with this authority or divine power “upgrading”me, but not necessarily that that is false, either. I really don’t know; I have never channeled alien beings or multi-dimensional beings. But, I don’t think I am a computer or that my consciousness is relatable fully to the analogy of computer software.

Even the work I do with shamanism is from the imaginal realm. For it to work, it doesn’t need to be understood in terms of mechanics or even “realness.” Though I have seen it work, and I have remote reviewed, and I do believe these “skills” can be gifted and/or worked on. I have seen healings and strange things when people allow the possibility for them–and even if they don’t. I couldn’t give you the recipe for how it works, or why exactly, that when I journey with certain people, we see the same things. It doesn’t happen often, though. Maybe I’m waiting for it to happen more often before I speak up. Maybe I am not the type of person who is prone to making conclusions.

For me, personally, I’m not committed to a belief in a particular dimension or by receiving “wisdom” from ascendant masters or things like that. My brain and/or consciousness is quite an ordinary one. I don’t receive the very specific guidance of GPS from some other dimension. If I did, I would question it highly and make sure it has the best intentions, otherwise I would tell it to go F-off. That might be why I’m not that approachable.

So, with my ordinary brain I was musing with my husband about how I do tend to believe that our reality is a hologram. I experience this and I haven’t really researched it to check my musings with other evidence out there. My sense is that I am connected to a system that is constantly getting upgraded. I look at my phone and now it can do more things than it can do yesterday–the font is different, the layout is different. It’s got new nifty features letting me know how easily I can schedule an email, for example.

What is my upgrade? I think my upgrade is noticing things. I have been able to access my internal states in a new way, and with that, I am becoming more informed on how I process the world. This allows me to tweak it! I’m observing objects in my field and learning how to use them more efficiently. My mind feels like its “dilating.” What an interesting word to use–my field is widening. I feel like there’s an aperture on my experience that is developing flexibility in flexibility, and it’s well, mutable. Difficult to explain, but pretty cool.

This brings me back to astrology. Tomorrow is the Sagittarius New Moon (chart below from cafe astrology). This degree is almost exact my natal MC. I already know my astrology, but it will be easier to just share with you what the internet says about what this means:

“People who have this MC sign are born to show fresh perspectives and to ignite faith in others. They can’t stand limits and are often trailblazers, caring little about what others think about them. They are following their ideals and crave a deep connection to the universe.

In the birth chart, the Midheaven is the highest point. It shows your aspirations in life and your greatest achievements. The sign here shows which qualities you are growing towards. It helps you decode your path in life. The MC is more expressed at an older age, and it’s the side of you the world sees (people who don’t know you personally).”

Midheaven in Sagittarius

“The MC in Sagittarius calls for constant expansion, especially when it comes to finding your role in the world. You approach life from a philosophical perspective. Things make the most sense to you when they are colored by an ideal. You really do care about the world and think a lot about how you can make it a better place.

“People with this MC sign dream big. They want to find a sacred calling they can dedicate themselves to. Profession should also allow them to make a contribution. The Midheaven in Sagittarius suggests that you are the most fulfilled when you can inspire others. You approach goals with hope and optimism. You love to have things in your life you can be enthusiastic about.”

All of that is 100% accurate for me. It’s not super specific, but it’s been highly relevant throughout my life (and even moreso during this time of the year when I get even more philosophical, and wander-y.
