Venus Retrograde in Scorpio: Darker steps leading up to the light

Hello Friends,

In my last post, I wrote about the New Moon in Virgo. I had already given you the theme, and that theme continues (Making good decisions about relationships). Click the link to re-reference. I really aimed to simplify that particular New Moon (September 10/11, 2026) and the Venus retrograde *together* so that you could SEE how it all came together under the ‘relationships’ and ‘communications in relationships’ “theme.”

Venus retrogrades approximately every 18-19 months and it lasts approximately 40-43 days. In the next couple of days I might reblog my previous Venus retrograde post. However this current Venus retrograde is very specific to our current time. My previous posts aren’t very relevant in this case.

And to rhyme with “theme,” here’s a meme (quote) that I think covers the THEME most simply:

I have not actually read the book from the text quoted above. Now I definitely want to read it! If you’ve read it, share it in the comments!

Below are the correspondences

Venus had already been in the pre-shadow phase of its retrograde journey, so I saw the connection to the Virgo New Moon as the “directive energy” for this Venus retrograde. There were many other relevant aspects at that time, for example: Uranus was stationing retrograde. A Uranus retrograde would have us considering our freedom and enlightening us in new ways where we can break chains and disrupt anything from abuse to bad habits from within our lineages.

Uranus is considered to be the higher octave of Mercury. Mercury is the ruler for that New Moon in Virgo, and Mercury transited into the beginning of Libra on the same day as this New Moon. Venus rules Libra. Libra asks us to find balance and mutuality in our relationships. Scorpio asks us for honesty and purging (territory that Venus will be moving through). Scorpio and Libra together can be asking for more accountability in relationships. Venus literally moved into Scorpio on the same day of the New Moon in Virgo, just like Mercury moved into Libra that SAME day. These are all the clues.

Virgo is also about service and applying functional methods for healing and wellbeing. So, building better working relationships, that are functional, mutually respectful and supportive, is the key to this Venus retrograde, while purging and freeing oneself from old relationship habits and no longer accepting mistreatment or unbalanced, non-reciprocal connections. This retrograde will have you getting very honest about your actual needs for your wellbeing and mental health. Special note: the reciprocity need not be literal, but each party ought to agree and consent with mutuality.

What’s more is that this Venus retrograde is heavily aspected with multiple “dance steps” and they all center around building and refining healthy and nourishing relationships–again, that directive from the Virgo New Moon–where the ruling planet for that new moon moved into Libra (relationships, balance). Here’s the data based from an ephemeris, based on astrology software, at astrotheoros.com.

Hopefully this information is helpful for you. I may return with more narrative as the story continues in December, after that Venus leaves the shadow. I may return with poetry or art, or other writing. I really don’t know yet!

Please feel free to share your experiences in the comments section. The comments end up being more important than the article because the experiences of all the readers are what really shows how we are all navigating these transits and life experiences.

There’s a future for me writing more about remedies and ways to engage with the information, but I think we serve ourselves truly first with introspection.

We each experience all of these transits differently, based on our individual life trajectories, our learnings, early environments, and of course our own natal charts from which all other charts are developed and referenced from to interpret the on-going stellar environment that mirrors and corresponds to our growth and development while living.

Astrology is like this: correlation and not causation.

Have fun. Enjoy this next chapter of your development! By the end of it, things are going to be very different. Journaling is always helpful. Let’s aim for the highest and healthiest beauty unfolding.

New Moon in Cancer: Simply your nourishment

It’s no surprise that prognosticating astrologers say, and the word of the times (haha or on the streets of the internet), that things are complex and dramatic. To some extent that is true, with a lot of very interesting and provocative changes taking place in the transits above! However, I’d like to take that notion and give it a balancing point to simplify and return to the “easier street” of simplification. We can ask ourselves simple questions to get into the heart of this lunation, and get a little bit more cozy.

What truly nourishes you? Where do you feel supported and like you can belong and be yourself?

This lunation has a challenging square with Saturn in Aries and Venus is receiving a lot of personal narrative review with the S. Nodal position conjoining it. The common themes of Venus are topics related to finances, relationships, women, and comforts and balances. Venus rules both Libra and Taurus, so all your keywords and phrases in the languaging could be expanded upon by looking at those signs. However, Venus is also a very esoteric and magical planet, known for the pentagram it traces in its orbital path. There’s a real beauty to it. Fortunately the Mars/Uranus conjunction is separating in Gemini, so some of the intensity is evolving into new shapes and patterns.

Venus:

Cancer is a sign of mother and motherhood. The expression of unconditional love can come in the form of boundaries and clear limitations. Limitations can create the supportive space for the young life to grow unencumbered by destructive forces. One must take heed of one’s environment and fashion it to the best of one’s capacity to be a safe place in order for the soul to be nourished, and for the creativity to flow. Don’t be afraid to be clear about your boundaries and needs. The time has come for your greatest alignment with your soul’s path, and your own personal magick to unfold and flourish. Bring your light into this world, with gentleness, kindness, and the deep breath of faith and trust, that your heart is in the right place. You’ve worked hard for this. Saturn is here to support you. A challenging planetary aspect can be just the support you need to ground and arrange your space for your highest and best good.

Clearing Blocks that limit Abundance

I personally don’t speak light language. In fact, I have no idea how to understand it in terms of my rational mind. There is, however, some kind of rational bi-passing mechanism that moves through, and brings grace into one’s life. Though this process may seem ‘unbelievable’ and even appear to be packaged in a ‘strange’ modality, it can turn into tangible results – leading to tremendous healing. Truly, there is life beyond on some dimensional level, we are not alone.

Judy Satori has a truly beautiful heart, and shares so much love with us through her channeled light-language.  If this resonates with you, and if you’ve been asking yourself about moving beyond limitations to finding abundance, go ahead and listen as Judy advises.

I’ve received more than one question about this recently as I have had some friends and clients who are undergoing some of the most profound experiences at this time. Ultimately, to me, abundance boils down to the capacity to hold and MOVE energy in a dynamic and healthy way. Life can be intense and focus is essential. Keep your mind on the highest intention as a servant leader in the realms within where you attract and exist.

We are all in this journey together on one level or another. Let us move through it with all the energy of the universe supporting us at this time.

Clearing Blocks that Limit Abundance

One more thing, I have closed the comments section. While not permanent, at present I am not supporting the comments section of my blog. Trust that I receive your appreciation for any postings that have helped you in some way. I am grateful to my readers, as I know that those who have not commented still read (and have been reading, and those people are perhaps some of my most loyal readers – you know you are.) Also, to those who have commented: I sincerely appreciate your desire to communicate with me in a way that is supportive to this blog, and this blog’s mission to celebrate and be of service. Namaste to you all. May you receive what you give, and vice versa…ad infinitum. I am grateful for the friendships that have been born from this blog in ways that I otherwise wouldn’t have imagined.
