Taurus Full Moon: Magnetism and Orientation

November 5th – (or check your local area).

Sensuous pleasure meets unexpected moments of assertiveness and enlightenment. Mind your powerful words for this lunation brings in Mercury strongly before the retrograde on the 9th in Sagittarius and then back to Scorpio again!

Are you ready for the next dose of liberating, surprising, and illuminating highlights rising into your life?

If you were hoping to slow ‘it’ down, too— there are pockets for that. It might not be for everyone. It rarely is. Best I can say is to look for how your version of “slow” manifests. Put your attention on that awareness and gently invite it to expand.

We have been enjoying a very (emotionally) flowing grand water trine—which will continue on for a bit. It’s good fodder for release, but not very grounded (and not so much Earth energy). You might have felt like you were floating amidst all the unknowns in a continuous sea of WTF.

Enter the “more” grounding full moon.

During the full moon in Taurus, the Venusian ruler will be in a T-square with Jupiter and Pluto. This lunation is so strongly Venusian because of it. Also, Venus is in an “out of sign T-square,” reinforcing the Venusian qualities. The fact is that Venus will still be in Libra, one of the two signs its rules. Jupiter’s presence in this T in the sensitive and highly intuitive sign of Cancer is mostly friendly, albeit amplifying.

Relationships, values, money, beauty, art, whatever you think of luxury—even security and sexuality are our themes. We have a lot brewing in the sense awareness for these matters. Taurus will help you tap into your sensory awareness without a doubt: for example, it might be easier for you to “sniff out the truth” more than ever before—on matters of great import! Root your consciousness into your highest love, for the potential exists for deepening, opening, and releasing.

Trust is a theme that can go both North and South, as it is probably magnetic—meaning, it’s rarely stabilized. It can jump from one pole to the other based on what’s influencing the pulls and who around you is making moves (also which way you orient yourself). Bring your awareness closer into what “pulls” you. What are you currently calibrated to, and what magnetizes you? This is good information for you to be internally attuned to in the most conscious way.

Here is another great Full Moon for your books. Please use this incredibly rich time to inspire your love and art making!

We’ll be “seeing” each other on the flip-side. I will be mostly off-grid for a big chance to renew myself, and for a nice respite from the norm of my daily life—still working in other dimensions though..

Adventure does await me.

I do know that this moon is FULL of so much; it will give us a taste (and an image) for our memories to grow on like food or prebiotics 😆 or some such growth medium! Happy for you to “fill your own metaphor.”

All in all, I’m looking at this as a rich, nutritive full moon that will encapsulate our aura with better information, strategies, and metrics: showing us how to be living in our holism.

New Moon in Libra: Empowerment and Depth

Dialing into the energy for this New Moon, I feel the need to bring in the gentle pause. There’s really a beautiful set of aspects here, and when I saw them at first–I got a breath of what felt like “fresh air.” However, what we also see here is a grand trine in Water. Mercury and Mars in Scorpio is flowing easily to Jupiter in Cancer, and then to Saturn and Neptune in Conjunction–where Saturn is back in Pisces and Neptune will be back in Pisces again shortly there too.

I don’t see a lot of clarity in this New Moon in Libra. It’s very innocent in its “newness.” Like if you poke at it “too soon” you will damage what it is becoming–but that’s not because I don’t think it’s resilient. I think it’s resilient as all hell.

What I see is a lot of fluidity, some openness. I see tender emotions. I see the beginnings of new relationships that are still in the watery stages, pure and new. There’s not a definite shape. Venus is sharing in the sign of Libra, but isn’t close enough to form an aspect.

What we do see is, unmistakably, that Pluto is squaring the New Moon and also opposite the benefic planet of Jupiter. Jupiter is therefore also squaring the Sun/Moon conjunction (new moon). To me, this is still a really nice energy. I also have rapport with these planets and energies. That actually does matter.

This is a strongly deepening energy. I think we are all asking for more depth in our relationships, and also probably “bringing it.”

I’m truly looking forward to this New Moon!

How are you all doing? Are you ready to get silent and briefly pause into your own unmistakable mysteries– forge a new relationship with yourself *and* others?

Share your thoughts! Wishing you a sparkling New Moon in Libra. May its Grace, and Beauty lead you!

Nothing that is in our lives currently is here to stay. When we remember this, we hold onto every precious moment we spend with loved ones, and our feeling for appreciating our lives deepens. We are each contributing each day to the beauty and process of life unfolding. As is said in Italian (my heritage), “Lunga vita e buona vita.” Long life and prosperity! I send you blessings on this New Moon in Libra ♎️ wishing for your highest and best good. 😌

“Poem 20” Day 20

He took away my voice

Because I wasn’t good enough for him

My vulnerability

Didn’t matter.

My wings were easily clipped

Because I had not yet developed my

Center.

So my voice disappeared

🌌🌟

One day, I will rise

From the dead

silent

Music-less dungeon

where I was sunken, captive

for too long.

Until then,

I just whisper

And consider

what will heal this

Overwhelmed chironic

Taurean wound.

I see echos of her

spacious flying delight,

but still, she is not here.

Her desire has not fully

woken.

Family love and life

So grateful for another day on planet earth with my loved ones. I’m grateful for all the genuine connections I have in my life with people who are not physically close, too, but are so so close to my heart. My friendships that are enduring are so valued in my life. I’m grateful for my loving family. I’m also grateful for my blogging connections and this month’s challenge helps me to keep centered on what matters most while being able to weave in and out as I need to and am able!

14/30

As people weave in and out of our lives, its so important to remember our inner lives. This new moon I embarked on a new journey with my Medicine Woman studies. It’s an incredible New Moon in Scorpio sextile to the Jupiter-Pluto conjunction. I received an initiation today and conducted a special ceremony; my path has begun on a deeper level, in private. Many of us walk between the two worlds, and as we anchor ourselves in the unseen world, we enrich the world we do for the consciousness of the planet. Today we also celebrate along with this New Moon, in many regions of the world, such as Northern India, Diwali, the festival of lights. It’s the celebration of good over evil. May we realize the goodness in our hearts, and come together on this planet. That is my hope each and every day.

For Love, and wrapping up my November with a bow 🎀

Here’s my 5-minute meditation that I’ve provided on my blog, where you can listen and also find it under the meditation drop down box -> mindfulness meditation tracks -> 5 minute guided meditation. I’d like to give this to you, as my gift to you: where you can listen and get in touch with all your senses as I guide you.

Which senses bring you joy and delight?

IMG_3198.jpgPhotography by Ka Malana ©2017

All of them, as they are the ones that connect me beyond the earth plane! (best explained by Sue Dreamwalker, here.)

How do they help you live a meaningful life?

My senses help me relate and integrate. My senses help me to connect with others, with nature, and help me to be a part of something bigger than myself. My earthy senses: sounds, sights, feels, tastes, and smells, help me to ‘ground’ and to meditate.  5-minute meditation.

********************************************************************************

Today’s post is dedicated to the two challenges I’ve participated in for November, it’s also dedicated to me, for completing the NanoPoblano challenge when I didn’t think I would/could. At all. I still wanted to give it a try. I wanted to use this challenge to get through an ‘already’ challenging time. NanoPoblano, is a month-long posting challenge to post daily with no restrictions originated by Ra Avis. She is an incredibly inspiring blogger and human, and she came up with the idea for NanoPoblano. She’s also been a great friend and support to me in completing my book, She would always appear at precisely the right moments.

Here’s Ra’s words about the NanoPoblano challenge. It’s about Poblanos/Cheerspeppers and the team:

The thing about the Poblanos is that it adds a family dimension to the entire project.  You will be constantly looking at a list of people who are going through the same struggle as you.  Some will be better writers.  Some will be funnier.  Some will have bigger audiences.

It won’t matter, though, because we’ll all be feeling the burn.

After walking through the fire together, it’s hard not to love each other.  We’re a team.  My Poblanos are my first point of contact for any activity I undertake– because I know they are committed to what they want, and to what they do.  No matter what they want, or why they do.

These are people I am proud to blog alongside.

I am proud to blog alongside her and others; most of all my readers!!!!!

This month, on the 23rd, my blogger galpal Linda from Litebeing.com invited me to participate in her month-long Sense-sational Blogging Challenge, and she suggested that I could use one of my NanoPoblano posts for her Sense-sational Challenge. So, at this point I was thinking, maybe I could pull this off, and use Linda’s challenge to be sure I get to the end. Thank you, Linda! Check out her blog for astrological musings, synchronicity, numerology, and more!

Of course, I have to also mention another dear blogging friend & wizard, Dewin, who participated in this challenge on the 29th, since I can’t link to anyone afterward – as I am taking up the caboose – here’s a link to Dewin’s written submission. You can also follow his amazingly well-written, witty, passionate, and truly epic poetry by following the links on his blog. If you haven’t already. 🙂

About my book: Art for Art, in my opinion it’s the best first and potentially only book I could/would have written. Included in it is a wonderfully well-written foreword by my dear friend and writer, Michael, from Embracing Forever. He’s really been a huge support to my writing, as another writer, and a marvelous writer at that! He’s blown me away with his talent, and I am anticipating his continued success!!

Finally, here’s a link to my posts for NanoPoblano, where you will see a lot of photography and writings, poetry, and musings mixed together with the astrology that underlies it all. I’ve put the posts all here in one nice, tidy, accessible place – including my “lead in” posts where I prepared for November’s challenge.

Let’s get spicy and do the thing in November!

My readers are soooo awesome and I cannot wait to catch up with you, especially these last few days, **WHEW**!  This daily posting for the month was a challenge for me, but I’m glad I did it. I’m not sure if I will do it again.

Thank you all for your loving, supportive comments. You really made a difference!!!

So what’s next?
I’m not sure, but I definitely have a lot of “off the blog” work to focus on and so I’m going to completely enjoy my December (and that means working on what I have to do and read your blogs when I can) and prepare for 2018. This November’s end is sort of a wrap up for me for the whole year, 2017. I’m proud of myself for doing this posting challenge for me. I like the delicious choices that I get to make in my many moments! My dedication to my regular meditation practice has also benefitted from this month’s crazy activity!

What will you do in December? Did you have a good time in November? What was 2017 like?

Vernal Equinox – Springin’ it!

Today as I was drawing up the astrological chart for the Vernal Equinox, I was running into all sorts of snags in terms of saving the chart and technological stuff. So, I had to sit myself down and slow down. I recalled back to all the progress I made with my em-Wave heart coherence the day before, and I was thinking about how I practice astrology and what I can contribute. Often times when we have a Full moon, or a New Moon or another punctuated seasonal event, we often embellish (as a culture) the sign that the Sun is in. Now, the Sun is special to me, sure (as a Leo), but in reality, what we are seeing is a BALANCE of signs and energies at any given moment. I say this because my natal Sun is in Libra’s house. So, balance is incredibly important to me, as we perceive it. I also have a tendency to believe in an inherent and natural balance that happens on its own, the way matter settles under gravity.

We have so many planets in Aries right now, and so it’s easy (understatement) to get carried away. I know I have been ~ so much creativity, there’s the gentle kick-back though and reminder for me, today, to just ‘be receptive’ and settle into some of this exuberance. Or, let the exuberance settle into me. There’s this excitement of what is to come during this time of the year – what has been growing and what might be around the corner waiting to be planted. Nevertheless, there is also this sense of ordinariness that creeps in and reminds me, we faithfully celebrate the turn of the seasons every year. If we didn’t, I don’t believe that we would be upsetting the Gods/Goddess/or Nature itself.

Back to the point about balance: I like to look at signs in “‘2’s.” Like a virtual see-saw, with a central pivot. I do not focus all my energy on the one spotlight sign: Aries!  There’s a natural focus on Aries right now. So, I look to Libra. Do you follow me? Once I spring, there’s gotta be the opposite movement, “the catch.”  I want my virtual see-saw to be nice and chill though, so there’s gotta be a central focus – between the two. But in balancing, just like a bicycle, I have to subtly pivot to both sides, one at a time.

A few years ago I did trapeze with my husband for the very first (and only) time. I’m going to use that as my metaphor. The Aries energy was helping me climb up that pole and reach the heights that I was reaching, but that was only the beginning. I needed the “will to move.” What I also needed was the listening ears for the instructions about how to hold my hands, and what to do when the trapeze bar came my way. I could see the net, yes, but when you are up-high, you don’t really calculate how much spring is in that net that helps catch you if you fall. There’s more.  I didn’t know there was more until I was listening to the directions. I was told how to position my hands so that I would be ready for the catch. That’s right. Not only did I have to catch the bar, and then put up my knees and let go of my hands, my final fete was to open my hands and allow myself to be caught. That part was easy, but it was also tricky; it required one extra moment of acceptance, receptivity.

So, Libra is needed – to balance – the Aries energy.

During this Vernal Equinox, what are you catching? What’s in your net? What are you listening to? How will you bounce if you fall? Will you make ‘the catch’ and allow yourself to ‘be caught’? How can you balance your receptivity to others with your will to live and do and be so freely?

Venus Station Direct: February 1, 2014

Venus keywords: relationships, values, art, the senses, Taurus, Libra, money

Some relationships are built into our lives so deeply that they simply seem to align with our deepest needs for growth and change—despite all the ups and downs and vicissitudes of life. Other relationships, well, they may have been continuous, or seeming to last over a span of time, but there’s something about them—in and of themselves—wherein interaction betrays our deepest authenticity. These relationships we feel compelled to maintain due to on-going patterns beyond our control, such as family relations, or because we made promises to ourselves to be a good friend by being consistently present.

Both of these types of relationships can be described by Venus in Capricorn: those relationships that are solid and lasting because of their ease and innate naturalness, and those relationships that persist to wear away at our very essence. If we are honest with ourselves, we know which are which, and we can make appropriate decisions about where to put our energy. Nevertheless, as Venus stations direct, we can return our awareness to those relationships that are most in alignment with our deepest values—relationships that honor the integrity of our being. In other words, It’ll be easier to spot a true-blue friend going forward.
