Itβs that time again! The Libra New Moon is here and very different than a normal Libra New Moon. Her Venus ruler is currently retrograding in Scorpio, pulling up all kinds of deep colors and rich juicy fodder to work with. Emotions are running high; they can be erratic and/or woeful. The vicissitudes of life are pronounced at this time, with strain and restrictions, new structures and boundaries being called for from the New Moonβs opposition to Saturn in Aries. Past relationships can be reframed in new psychological context. New relationships can form without the same attachment patterns.
As I write, here locally, we are wondering what the unusual tropical stormβs impact will be from the downgraded hurricane Rachel. We were on the direct path of this storm for a while, and I have been observing when I get mere seconds away from the overwhelm of daily life these days! I check in to try to prepare and determine what the rain amount is forecasted (our area is not used to this and the Earth is not primed for fast flooding even with small amounts of rain comparatively). Big floods are likely along with gusty winds. This one is likely to be bigger than the 2023 storm based on the projections we’ve seen. We have had trouble at the location of our home before because of being in a βsunkenβ area on a mountain, where all the water runs down. At this point, sand bags are outβthings are under tarps, but itβs really just an uncomfortable time through this uncertainty. It will probably turn out okay, however ocean temperature are about 13 degrees higher than they normally are due to this more extreme El NiΓ±o weβve been watching.
That said, I am posting a video from the lovely Sarah Vrba, who I feel offers a very grounded and calmly, creatively well-thought out astrological message for the Libra New Moon. Her language is very considerate to nervous systems, while still diving into the depths and exploring the energies and rhythms to a degree of transformation and deep understanding.
Another excellent astrological interpretation that matches my read is from Moon Omens:
