As Black As Hell, As Dark As Night ~ February 1st – 7th, 2016

I really appreciated the author’s thoughts on this week. Pluto is very, very strong right now and we have the ability to slough off a lot of factors limiting our awareness. Excellent post. ❤

This week offers a grandiose opportunity to observe a dramatic metamorphosis. Agonizing though it may be, there is much beauty in the process! Let yourself be reborn, reinvented, or revivified.

The Moon is in Scorpio on Monday, conjunctMars, which creates an internal dialogue where you may feel overstimulated by dreams of conquest, just as you are simultaneously feeling thwarted by insecurity. This Moon/Mars conjunction creates an emotional environment where hungry ghosts wander, searching for their souls in dark reflecting pools.tumblr_lx8x9qMdJr1qg39ewo1_500With Mercury still conjunctingPluto at the beginning of the week, the urge to throw off all the dead weight in your life will become a tenacious instinct. This deadweight may include bad habits, thankless jobs, or draining people. It is essential that you learn to proceed with no more obligations, contracts, or promises that do not promote your well being, lest you get sucked into a vortex that…

Ye with noble goals!

Today is not January 19th! It is a Monday, and it is January 25th 2016! Yes, it’s Mercury’s stationing direct period. When do you feel the effects? You tell me! 3 days +/- Which means: ________ ? Symbols and non-sequiturs.

On the lighter side – as we rock forward onto Mercury’s funny shadow. I saw K9 from (the OLD DR. WHO)’s image on my wall next to my night table last night. This oughta be a fun and wacky Mercury retracing its steps forward-style. After all, why not?! Get your tech on! I’m awaiting the arrival of my lens mount so I can hook up my old lenses onto my new camera.

Exuberant Full Moon in Leo, February 14, 2014

Here’s a blast from the past, an old post of mine on Leo Full Moon. Roar with playfulness!

Ka Malana - Fiestaestrellas.com's avatarFiesta Estrellas

This full moon is at 27 Leo with the Sabian symbol for, “Daybreak – the luminescence of dawn in the eastern sky.” All year so far we’ve been heralding new beginnings—and OH it does continue. This beginning is more about your individual flare. What is it that only you can contribute, that no one else can? Simply by virtue of being yourself—you offer your energy and your services—your presence, your individuality is part of ALL that is. Your ability to ‘be present’ is your gift to creation.

I’ve never really identified with my Leo Sun-sign, even though, in part I did more-so when I was a child. When I was a child, I was rather uninhibited. A full moon in Leo with sun in Aquarius is a time when my solar energy and my ascendant path are highlighted. Perhaps it was the attention to the…

#Blesstival WAVE & Many Blessings

Good Morning!  “Blessing is the Art of Harvesting the Wisdom of the Invisible World.” John O’ Donohue. I’d like to add that sometimes the blessing is written on the white-board. But I will get to that later. First a short story:

While decidedly joining in the #Blesstival wave at Sophia’s Children on January 10, and preparing a blessing post to reverberate into our resonate cyber field, immediately the words of John O’ Donohue came to mind from his Beannacht/Blessing. There’s not one year’s transition, in recent years, that I have not seen this poem or heard it spoken. So, I wanted to bring it here, just to be sure it continues to lead in my heart and mind in the coming days.

On the day when
the weight deadens
on your shoulders
and you stumble,
may the clay dance
to balance you.
And when your eyes
freeze behind
the grey window
and the ghost of loss
gets in to you,
may a flock of colours,
indigo, red, green,
and azure blue
come to awaken in you
a meadow of delight.

When the canvas frays
in the currach of thought
and a stain of ocean
blackens beneath you,
may there come across the waters
a path of yellow moonlight
to bring you safely home.

May the nourishment of the earth be yours,
may the clarity of light be yours,
may the fluency of the ocean be yours,
may the protection of the ancestors be yours.
And so may a slow
wind work these words
of love around you,
an invisible cloak
to mind your life.

As John O’Donohue’s reverberated in my mind for several days, I was delighted to awake and see that Jamie had posted some of his words yesterday, “Take Refuge In…”

So as I sat to pen my contribution to the #blesstival wave, I thought further about the photograph that I had taken at the local gym last night. It came across to me as a blessing, and I was inspired to share it with our readers. I wasn’t sure how I would tie it together, but then I realized ~ when I saw Jamie’s post this morning ~ there’s a reminder to me that all has already been set together, and our blessing is to simply illustrate the beauty put before us through our living and joining in!

May this year be as magical and sparkly for you as it has been for me! This year and always!

Useful Surface Tension

Fire of love
consumes the rotten,
putrid mess
of Autumn
From deep Winter’s
fiery hearth.

She anoints us with a
peculiar oil.
So that we can really burn
away what has come before us,
and hardened.

Loves beads are hot
and have memories
of surface tension.

All corrupted thoughts
are doused out
and consumed by this
ancient moon, again.

We have come clean

and can walk on water.

Life in Dialogue

Living is in our actions.
It is in our breaths,
our footsteps,
our pulses.

When we give a word, we extend our hands.
When we open our eyes to the written word,
we open up our ears, too.

When we read, we lend our shoulders.
When we read, we become tripods upholding a vision

Opening and closing
at just the right time,
to let in the light –

and just enough,
and not too much.

at once.

We      are       book-stands
for the young –
supporting small hands everywhere.

Let us support the growing, the honest, the innocent; the undefined.

The process.

*****

My life is long-lived and ripe.
I want to grow around you and all through you.
I am the vine of life.

Enjoy me speaking with you, through you.
Divining with you.

Together WE are God and Goddess.

Let none claim which is which.

For I am a witch who will not tell.

Ringing in Peace & Friendship in 2016, 108 times, in a “9” year.

This New Year is off to a good start. The manifestation maps drawn during the 21st of December during our winter solstice celebration are quite ALIVE. The energy has been building for some time now, and it’s delicious.

In 2016, I’m going deeper into my shamanic practice, and diving deeper into my “Kung Fu.” It’s almost time for the new trimester, and I’ll be working alongside a new team. Meanwhile, I’ll be experimenting with new ways to communicate my astrological fun, and engaging more with my photography.

UPCOMING! I have a planned sabbatical (with travel!)

and guess who’s coming along with?!

you ARE 🙂

More music in 2016, lots of people to play with and won a raffle for free lessons in 2015.

So, it’s a truly abundant life.

At the moment, we have visitors here, and their company is delightful.

***********************************************************************

Welcome, Welcome, Welcome

to all my NEW readers.

Thank YOU

To all my existing readers:       You are SO loved!

Thank you for being so patient with me, as I have been very busy creating a lot of space for an even more eventful year to come. I’m looking forward to sharing with you as Spirit moves me. In the meantime, I am truly enjoying reading your blogs; and I LOVE Fiestaestrellas.com – so Thank you to everyone for your visits here and support!!!!!  You make me feel welcome in my own house. It feels good to be loved, too. I see T-shirts in Fiestaestrellas’ future. My blog has brought me the most wonderful satisfaction and inspired connections – it makes me feels so AT HOME you have no idea (or maybe you do.  I think you do. Yeah, you know it 😉 )

My growing community here on WP, and in my daily life, brings me so much joy and contentment. Mr. Fiesta and I are thrilled that this year we will be literally, “Ringing in the New Year.” I hope you don’t mind, Fimnora, but I was inspired by your Music Medicine and wanted to share it – not to mention I have already been really enjoying the music.

SO please read and listen here 🙂, and then I’ll get back to my story:

This year, we RING IN the NEW YEAR – and I want every one of you to be with us!

The history of the Yokohama Frienship Bell, by Masahiko Katori

The citizens of Yokohama, Japan presented the Friendship Bell to San Diego in May 1958 as part of the Centennial Celebration of formal relations between that country and the United States. It also served to mark the establishment of the sister city relationship between San Diego and Yokohama, which is the first such affiliation on the West Coast.

The bell itself stands 6-feet high and weighs in at almost two and one-half tons. The words “Bell of Friendship” are inscribed on it in both English and Japanese. Like other traditional Japanese bells, the Friendship Bell has no clapper inside. It is rung instead by being struck with a large wooden ram that is suspended horizontally from two v-shaped chains in the bell house. To ring the bell, the ram is pulled back with a lanyard and then released, which causes it to strike a specially raised surface on the bell. The bell house is typical of those found in Japan. It is open on four sides and surrounded by a moat.

During the dedication ceremony in December 1960 eighteen traditional gongs were struck for good luck, in accordance with Japanese custom. Among those taking part in the ceremony was Saburo Muraoka, a driving force in the Sister City program. Over the years the bell has become a popular spot for groups and individuals to visit and take pictures, and it is regularly tolled on New Year’s eve.

When I was in Japan in 2001, I enjoyed ringing for the Kami. I’m reconnecting this year with what is and always has been: my connection to the land.

Random Fact:

Did you know that the molecule benzene was first thought to be ouroboros in a dream? In 1865, August Kekule had a dream that unlocked its atomic structure. (Michio Kaku, 2014)

Here’s to your dreams! Here’s to a New Year – and to the existence of timelessness.

Finally, Crickets

Crickets have been plentiful in my life since my husband and I joined up in Pennsylvania and made our way across the country to what eventually became our new home in California. The first cricket that visited was my Nana – she gave me a benevolent “send off” from my Pennsylvania life. Then, a beautiful cricket was “there for me” when I wrote my admissions essay for graduate school, and began working on what will eventually be a doctorate degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine. Please don’t hold your breath, because I am going to be taking my time… It’s good to breathe, anyways 😉 Lots of breathing in 2016…

To wrap it up, crickets have been (lots of them now!) with US since we moved into our new home in 2015. They have been playing in the water of my Towergarden. The Towergarden is a project to honor my Italian roots and to always having a garden, wherever I am. You are welcome to purchase one at the link, and join in our garden fun.

To all who READ herein,

MAY all the BLESSINGS of this NEW YEAR be yours to Manifest however you WISH in alignment your highest and best good, for the peace and prosperity of ALL.

Current Moon transiting Uranus: Tesla’s Last letters to his mother

Dear Tesla,

I am sorry that humankind kept you back from your personal life, and never understood you, nor what you tapped into.

Love, Ka

For some reason, today, I encountered this article, and decided to share it on Word Press. The Moon in Leo is transiting Uranus in Aries. I thought I’d light a candle for Tesla…

****************** Letters excerpt********************************

“Friday, November 20…

I didn’t write to the Patent office, one of their agents came and I told him about my intentions in person. He said he was sorry, but the dates could not be changed because all the congressmen have already determined them. I went down to the Waterfalls and told the boys to prepare the turbines and wait for my call tomorrow.

I have decided to provide the mankind with the gift it deserves and to retourn to Europe, to You, Mother. Governments here are the same as the ones back home. I have realized now, at the very end, that the mankind depends on governments and the individual cannot change the world on himself. But that strange voice still bothers me. I know it is connected to You, my experiment, with something transcendental…”

Commitment is strength inspiring

4fireplace1

In an age of fast development: technology, tv screens, constant-upgrades, new designs, “better,” “more connected,” webbed, and “seamless” living, I am amazed, and I Am inspired by those who commit to their goals. Now, life will throw us off track, time and time again – especially if you have a very strong relationship – for better or worse – with the planet Uranus.

The universe will communicate to us in ways, and sometimes, not very cryptic ways.

So, what is commitment?

I want to be clear that commitment and ambition are not the same thing.

Commitment is not “to a ‘thing'” nor invested in “‘outcome.'” It is not focused on outcome at all. Therefore commitment does not make predictions; it has no inkling of what is beyond now. Commitment uses the ‘now’ to see, and thereby make projections, plans, and situates, but it does so without being fooled into believing that the projections are real. Commitment practices detachment!

Commitment is vision invested in only the truth, the highest good, and even that which transcends perception of what is good and true. Commitment is transcendent – for it defies odds, and overcomes obstacles. Commitment can only exist with love as its vessel.

Commitment as I mean it here, is to a living process. Commitment as I mean it here, is a fluid receptivity, a ‘going along with’ the flow. It’s about sticking to the kernel of truth, as each of us uniquely and internally know it to be.

All of our interpretations of the feedback we receive in life relies on our commitment to our sense of truth, clarity, love. This is our rock (Saturn in Sagittarius: Philosopher’s Stone). As long as we are guided by the vision and the pursuit of clarity, it can take any form. For clarity is, itself, formless.

During these days, there is much going on in the world. We have Mars applying aspect in opposition to Uranus. We have Mars coming into square with Pluto. We are collectively in need of bravery.

Bravery holds firm. Bravery relies on its commitment inwardly, and does not strike out to prove itself – for it knows its strength is borrowed strength ~ borrowed from deep within ~ and beyond.

Dear friends, these days, please see the strength reflected in those around you. Keep your attention on those who show you how it is possible to lift, lift up your eyes, and to walk and see, without fear. Be fearless.

Happy Full Moon in Gemini.

byhearthcandlelight42

Let our outside connections be as strong as our inward knowing, let our hands be held by each other throughout the holidays, whether we are merely thinking of loved ones sitting around another dinner table ~ they can feel our warmth. May your hearth keep you warm during winter, as the blessings of our spirits are even more bountiful than the food on our tables!

If You Want to Live in Your Soul, by Rumi

diogeneshonestbicycle

This morning I awoke to discover that there was a book atop my open book, A Manual of Acupuncture. I asked my husband if he was reading Rumi and left the book there, and he said, “No. Not recently.” Both books have a red cover and they seemed to “go together” even though they were different sizes.

Here’s the page/poem that I opened to, with the same title as this blog post:

The soul within our individual souls
loves the one who runs and falls down
more than the one who sits and watches.

The soul within soul lives in a lover.

Consider this metaphor. How you love is the open sky.
These personal selves are the separate roofs of a town.

Your tongue, the guttering where words flow.
If the roof is not clean, the words get thick and murky.

Some people have elaborate systems that drain water
from other roofs. This is not wise.
There is a false eloquence to it.

A lover is one who waters a garden from a rain barrel
that fills under his own roof.
Roses that grow from that have tears in them.

Sometimes the scale pans may weigh correctly,
but the balancer is off.

A sweet doctor may give bitter medicine.
A foot finds the right shoe in the dark.
Love moves on its way through the pleasure it feels.

Even though the time you live in is violent
and frightening, you are safe in Noah’s boat.

If you want to know who someone is,
hang around with those close by. They know.

The rule that covers everything is,
How you are with others, expect that back.

As usual, I find Rumi’s poems are very beautiful. Perhaps it’s my natal Mars in Libra that the fire always finds its resolution in the embrace of allowing. But it’s probably more-so that regardless of whatever ‘my stars are’ I ought to make the best of this life in the loving of it – finding the tender spirits who would embrace me along with themselves in the lamp-light of our wandering.

Following my typing of Rumi’s poem, and my writing here, I decided I wanted to add an image. I did a google search like this, “image of a lamplight diogenes,” because it was what came to mind. What you see is the first image that resulted from my search query.
