Solar Eclipse Messages in Leo – Instructions for a new generation

There’s no doubt this solar eclipse chart is fascinating, and “at large.” I say that for the following reasons, but first of all is the Jupiter/Mercury conjunction in Leo. Lots of LEO. There are so many aspects–and formations, for that matter–that I could write about, but I want to resist the temptation (at least for now). I’ll maybe save that for the end if I have the energy (and time) left. Let me know, dear readers, if you prefer the analysis of each of the parts, or the basic, overall message? For this post, I’m just going to list the aspects and patterns at the end, and get to the point, first.

To me, a solar eclipse (particularly this one) is like a little pocket of magick-time best for escaping into, and clearing all the chatter and noise around us. Once inside this little pocket, there’s a little union of silence ‘button’ that you can tune into, press, and it “resets” or a reboots your whole operating system (from the distant past and into the distant future). You have broken into the mainframe of your own timeline and you have access to your life destiny coordinates. You can even hit the cruise control button for extra rest. The options are… unlimited.

That doesn’t mean this eclipse doesn’t come with surprises, crises of faith, purpose or function, and deep unearthed revelations and purgations. Here was just some of the (simplified) setup:

Leading up into this eclipse, and with the Full Moon in Aquarius, there was so much oppositional energy–intense duality and what I call “friction and flying.” I call it that, as I just made it up, because challenging aspects (squares, semisquares, inconjunctions, quincunx, oppositions) mixed with trines can make things like this: you easily and quickly slip into mud because you stepped on a banana peel, and then not-so-easily get yourself out! But that Full Moon on and around end of July was more of a WATCH OUT sign. Now, we’ve been in eclipse territory.

The thing about eclipses: You can’t enter the same way you leave. Yes, it’s kind of like knowing the end before the beginning so you can decide on the beginning.

That’s the way an eclipse works to my mind, and to my experience over the years. It can seem like a blink, and changes are not obvious right away, but they can happen in an instant and everything is different. Most likely, it requires hindsight to capture all its messages, because of the sheer volume of them.

However, once you reintegrate on the other side of it–perhaps months, maybe six or more– you may find yourself experiencing a much more unified signal within your energetic system.

The card that came up specifically for this Solar Eclipse in Leo, “10 of Arrows, Instruction.” I find it a valuable pointer to the “child” aspect of Leo, but in this case, the child is not merely playing as though it’s a separate activity from working and living itself. It’s not the function of childhood (joy for joy’s sake). This child is learning a valuable life skill, one that has transferable talents such as holding aim, breath, calmness, balance, fixation on target, (timing) when to release, etc…

The Leo dynamic can direct us back to the Child/Parent relationship. A child becomes its own parent. A child comes of age and is born into leadership by the merits of its own generational needs and tasks. Skills and talents are transferred and taught from the previous generation, but each individual is born into his/her/their era for their own specific purpose, dharma or Dao (Tao).

None these instructions are written down.

Why?

Because this era and its needs are within the present day, and this day and era never existed before. To apply old adages would be an insult to the needs of the times.

Leo is about creation rather than imitation.

We inherit knowledge, but we do not inherit the exact circumstances in which that knowledge must be applied. AND, the knowledge we have gained from the previous generations has to be adapted (in some cases completely transformed) to be supportive and useful in the current times; otherwise, it can be harmful.

Final thoughts: ancient wisdom can still help us to steady our hearts and minds and support our final lessons in apprenticeship/in childhood. Ultimately the time comes for the child to lead, to become the parent of the next generation. If you notice there is also a spiritual element to this. There is a certain way that our ancestors have our backs, but can’t give us the instructions. They can only give loving support. They can only wish us well, and hope that what they have taught us will be enough for us to grow with the wisdom that is needed for our present times.

Aspects

two strong oppositions:

  • Pluto in Aquarius opposite Mercury/Jupiter conjunction
  • Venus in Libra opposite Neptune in Aries

T-square

  • Mars squaring both Venus and Neptune

Kite

  • Gives more information and dimension to the T-Square because it includes Venus in sextile to Uranus, which are both sextile to Mercury/Jupiter conjunction, with the grand trine being the Venus->Uranus->Pluto configuration. Internally the kite has those oppositions shared above.

Mystic Rectangle

  • 4 corners are (Mercury/Jupiter), Venus, Pluto, and Neptune

2 Mini Grand-trines (seems more popular these days to point them out). It’s a trine between two planets and a sextile from each of those planets to the 3rd). 1). Mercury/Jupiter, Venus, and Uranus 2). Neptune, Pluto and Uranus

  1. A definite delight Ka…

‘If you notice there is also a spiritual element to this. There is a certain way that our ancestors have our backs, but can’t give us the instructions. They can only give loving support. …are so profound in this journey kind lady. The times are a’changing kind lady, and with all that is happening at the moment I am not surprised in those steps taken because of something suddenly appearing in front of us.

Hopefully just a new chocolate 🤣, but even that would probably hold a lesson. Great post kind lady, I pray your changes are speaking to your heart, allowing it to open, and freeing the love within it 🤗❤️🙏

    1. We have the soul and heart of universe inside of each and every one of us; we all feel it. That appearance and disappearance is the way of the things of phenomena! Your chocolate might come through any portal! Love widens… to hand you ever more delicious “newness” to try… hugs and gratitude!

      1. And I’m back…

I was sat on the harbour wall at Newquay, West Wales, during the eclipse – with a Nutella filled crepe and a bottle of water… 😆

        Anyhow…

I’ve been listening to a lot of music, lately, about “the old ways”, ancestors and so on. Sometimes, it even causes a tear to fall. Today may have its place and purpose, but, sometimes, it feels so much has been lost, forgotten. Too much.

Not that I would dwell in the past. But t feels like “home” is somewhere back there, in the ruins.

Perhaps I’m just getting old, as this world counts age.

As for now, and the future, I would suggest looking up the passage in Gibran’s “The Prophet” concerning children. The future is not ours and, as the years advance, the present is barely so.

But you have given as good an explanation as I have seen for the importance of Lethe’s draught, and the dangers of lifting the veil it creates. We cannot direct the present as if it is our distant past.

But, in the end, does not that forgetfulness make us all children, again? If not relearning, at least re-remembering. Or trying to do so.

Onwards, Ka. There is no way back, save to rejoin the spirit in which all time is “now”.

        1. This reply I will revisit, so I can go to Newquay, West Wales, not during the eclipse… and imagine a version of crepe I’m in the mood for, and whatever accompanying beverage strikes me as appropriate for my palate. 💖

Not that we would dwell on the past…

          Teasing us.

Your home and my home might be available from anywhere. We romanticize the past…the unrealness of that.

I am well acquainted with “The Prophet” as a child!! I loved it because as a child, I knew I belonged to no one and everyone at once…

Lethe’s draught, how good of you to make that comparison. Very apt.

“We cannot direct the present as if it is our distant past.” We cannot direct it at all in any way… we just respond.

We can easily be like children as much as we can easily attach to romanticized versions of past comforts…

So it’s very much the time to be here and now. 💖

          1. One might think you were intrigued by the idea of a crepe full of Nutella… 🤔

“Everyone and no-one…”? A little while, a moment of rest upon the wind… but it is here and now that we embark.

The pull I feel toward the past, though, is not so much to a time of comfort, as of simplicity. Even honesty. A time when we saw the spirit that is in all, and communed with it.

We have lost that, with the rough stone walls and simple hearths.

          2. It is a strange sense. As of something almost within grasp.

I don’t know how you get on with Lovecraft but some of his writing contained a sense of this:
“I feel it most when slanting sunbeams glow
On old farm buildings, set against a hill,
And paint with life the shapes that linger, still,
From centuries less a dream than this we know.
In such strange light, I feel I am not far
From that fix’d mass whose sides the ages are”
[Quoted from memory – may not be 100% accurate

          3. I am sure you have a fixation on noses. As well as being a nose kleptomaniac. I’m still waiting to get mine back…

Maybe you need to bury your nose in a Nutella crepe…

And I wonder whether this comment will lead any readers to doubt my sanity even more.

          4. It’s fine! Don’t worry about it! Here: 👃 Have it!

            ✔️

            I’m very familiar with Nutella.

Thanks for that Lovecraft, yes. 👏
            A fair trade.

Your sanity never needed to be sanitized or sent to the sanatorium! Let’s check in again at the Lunar eclipse.

          5. Have you ever considered that a sanitary inspector and an insanitary spectre are remarkably different things? 🤔

You sure that nose was mine? Or did you shrink it in the laundry? 👀

That bit of Lovecraft came from a series of verses called Fungi from Yuggoth.

          6. Thanks for helping me to consider more and more… that’s why I clean, you know… insanitary specter. Can even put them to work, you know!

That’s definitely YOUR nose, because it’s slippery! 😂 ewww elusive bugger.

That series has aliens in it…

See you at the lunar eclipse! Where will you have your crepes? With a cape?

          7. I ma indulge in a flapjack for a lunar eclipse.

Slippery? What, precisely, did you do with my nose? I might send you the bill for getting it laundered…

            “We’re busy doing nothing,
            Working the whole day through,
            Trying to find
Lots of things not to do…”
            😄

          8. “I have to watch the river to see that it doesn’t stop.” ✋🏻
Oh, now your nose is in the river (for as long as that is free!) it will clean thee….

You indulge you… nice for you! We got that theme going with my readers. 🤔

          9. Haha maybe for you, I’m headed to work at a friend’s clinic today. It’s still work 😉

You enjoy your new lease on life! I can easily live vicariously through you. I do it all the time with many people whose lives are cozy and free! So therefore, mine is too, so therefore: indulgences happen…

  2. Well, that was a lot. .😊 As for the craziness and things stop working, or I have to do something over 3 times until it works, or the miscommunications? Like a trip I booked 4 months ago for next winter getting canceled by the renter last week? Oh ya, I’ve been living this cycle since about a week before the dreaded mercury retrograde began – and it hasn’t let up.

I’m an energy witch, I attract them like magnets. 🤣🥰🧡

    1. We are in the “eclipse tunnel” so the “a lot ness” was definitely a lot and now we are at the first quarter moon in Scorpio. We are on our way to the next eclipse in Pisces which is the second last of its cycle for another 18ish years. A chapter is closing and this passage is like windows… one opens and other closes (sometimes the same one!)

May you be the magnetic of freedom from any craziness that could stir up!

      1. That is inspirational. I am a magnetic anyway for all energies. I’m like an energy witch. I’ve said goodbye to a lot this past year, so time for new good tidings. 🥰

        1. I aspire to be inspirational, Debby.

This reminds me to pack your book for the handoff at the retreat to the woman I am handing it to….
For next week… I’ll be reading another one of your books when I get a chance. Might be a while. No breath holding allowed!!

One day I have to work on poetry book number 2, might be a while for that, too. We shall see!

Having a magnetic energy field *and* personality is wonderful… except when it isn’t. I am gonna go ahead and send you the vision of magnetizing your favorite things.. and better in your own words “time for new good tidings” yes and “great joy.” And…. Inspiration. 🤗 💟 🔥

          1. You hit the nail on the head. Great – til it isn’t, lol. It can be a lot! And I am stoked at your wanting to share my book at the retreat. It sounds glorious!!!! 🥰💜

Please drop me a petal from your beautiful self and let me know that you visited :)
