Sai Maa Lotus-Flower

How can I read this poem
without it stirring my insides?

How can I look at you without
weeping?

You handed flowers to the
man in front of us,
but witnessing this moment

and what i Felt

Who is to Say, when Darshan
really occurred?

We stood before you, then,
with your peacock feather in hand.

Touched my forehead and chest and I thanked you
as I would any beloved friend.

How can ‘I be’ and not
be moved?

Who are we to stop some tears
or suggest this is the illusion
of sugar-drenched thoughts,

~~~
When I saw you give us flowers…
and I read your voice written
directly into my mind.
Big Plans at New Moon in Aquarius
AquariusNewMoonFeb2016
The aspects
With so much happening in my life, and “behind the scenes,” I figured I’d draw up the this chart for the New Moon in Aquarius (Sun and Moon in Aquarius at 19 degrees). As you can see in the image, Aquarius is ascending for this New Moon in Aquarius as well. Further adding to the energy of Aquarius is its modern ruler, Uranus.  Uranus has a lot of play right now. So there’s lots of creativity, electricity, unexpected surprises, and the wacky-weird “flashes of insight.” Where’s the group? How is our tribe?
  • Sun and Moon conjunction Sextile Uranus “new teams, groups, connections”
  • Mercury “communication” and Venus “values” Squaring “new-fangled” Uranus
  • Mars Quincunx Uranus – “awkward starts” “sporadic energy”
  • Uranus Square Pluto – Yep, not exact, but still super-active; revolution
With Mars Quincunx Uranus we may have a lot of fizzle – energy, but a little wobbly confusion about our initiatives. This is okay, simply because Mars will be retrograding in a couple of months giving us plenty of time to re-consider how we “start”, “motivate”, and bring our energy to our new projects. Then, where does the energy come from to continue?
For me, I’ve got my natal S. Node in Aquarius highly activated right now. My desire to post today further strengthens my sense for my past-life astrological tendencies. There’s been a long time soul’s movement with groups and energies surrounding the collective.  I have lots of contacts and friends with Aquarius as Sun, Moon, Ascendant, or both. Plus, my natal Uranus is highly aspected (which means it gets a lot of play).
Astro generalities
For those who are familiar or not, in many circles, Aquarius-Uranus is considered as the sign/planet ruling astrology, but many also in the classics look to Mercury. Many schools of astrological thought consider both to some extent because astrology is a communicated perspective – involving thought, analysis, and of course intuition and experience; it’s an art, after all.  Believe me, the more I learn about Chinese medicine (and differing theories, (and traditions that are not-Chinese…aka…Japanese… etc!!! but are indeed unified wholes and community conversations) the more I realize I am simply doing more of the same thing as astrology!
Chiron’s involvement with Jupiter and the Nodes
I want to add that right now, Chiron is forming a conjunction with the S. Node in Pisces ~ speaking of intuition, art, and the transcendent qualities of spiritual intelligence. Chiron is referred to as the wounded-healer, etc. etc. What is interesting me now is how transiting Jupiter has been more or less in opposition to transiting Chiron. That sense of “bigness” ought to be tempered, and I think Chiron highlights to us where we’ve got that constant wound-that-won’t-be-healed – the remaining expression of our fragmentation– confronting our sense of bigness (Jupiter), while also addressing separate aspects of self “fitting inside of a body” (Virgo) are themes.
Astrologers aren’t sure what sign to give Chiron’s rulership, but many agree on Virgo. Also many refer to Chiron as “Shamanic.”  At present all these terms are a bit to vague to be relegated to the “precision” of “rulerships.” What we are still really dealing with is that Pisces/Virgo divide in need of union; or at least agreeing to disagree that “the big picture” and “details” cannot, and should not, be in competition! Also, craftsmanship and mastery can be limiting at certain levels in creation, and even hindering creation if the focus is narrowed too quickly! Sometimes Pisces saves us from being too “square and peg,” despite the fact that most egos love to marvel at a “Virgoan” masterpiece, my advice is don’t get there too early! Yes, there is such a thing!
One has to begin somewhere, though, and I think that Pisces at the South Node gives us some intelligence on the issue, and suggests: starting out vague is not only OKAY, it is necessary. When we talk about Jupiter, we are talking about the big picture – something that some with heavy Virgo tendencies – as Virgo is currently in Jupiter, find challenging to allow.
For me personally, I have natal Jupiter in Virgo, so gestalt thinking doesn’t bother me, unless it does. From experience, and from art lessons, the vague, simply, just comes first. The details come later. First, bring the stuff out of you, then improve upon it all later with fine-tuning, interaction, building, etc.
Finally, for me personally, there’s something about this lunation for me that has to do with endings. There’s a big change, and release of the old perceptions. Pisces is an ‘self-undoing’ sign, and ruler of the 12th house. Pisces is where the current S. Node of the moon presents. The surrender to surrender – the final white flag. ::chuckles::
There’s a deep sense of peace and rest in this allowing of old perspectives, traditions, and the changing of an era in my family. I’m feeling a lot of gratitude for what has come before us… even the vagueness of this particular written article. I’m surrendering to its mixed pronouns and the challenged adjectives and nouns, which seek for more clarity to be “presentable.”  I enjoy each moment I get to dance in public with symbols. So, thank you, dear reader. Everything is comfortably unfinished herein.
All my very best wishes for New Moon in Aquarius – and of course for the Fire Monkey New Year! I have put out a few red envelope gifts for my unsuspecting friends, and even friends I may one day soon meet. ❤
That said, I’ve had a lot of new followers joining up lately, and I want to give you all a big, warm welcome hug! Come in, come in, and let us have some tea. We can share our flowers, our petals, and whatever we’ve brought with us from our journeys. Will stack plenty of wood by the fire, and focus on growing more trees.
World Cancer Day…We can. I can.
Today is World Cancer Day!
I light a candle in honor of those who have lost their lives to cancer, in sympathy with those who are battling cancer and in jubilation with those who have survived cancer!
I light a candle in memory of Cousin Anna (56) who was snatched away by breast cancer about four years ago! Cousin Anna kept her battle with the scourge away from many of us. Like so many relations and friends, I was aware she was receiving some sort of medical treatment from time to time and rather frequently latter but, I never had any inkling that cancer was eating her up. It was only after her death that I learnt she had forbade the few who knew from spreading the word!
Why Anna, an otherwise loquacious and jolly good fellow, would take her health travails quietly into the grave I still cannot understand.
A Selection of True Awakening Experiences Part II
This is a selection I wrote for MeMyMagnificientSelf, where we are encouraged to share our awakening experiences with others. This is Part II of a two part sequence. My participation is here, below, in Part II. I had recently met the other participants while Part I was taking place, and/or had already been completed.
***********************************************************************
Awakening used to sound like an ending to me, so complete, and total and full.
But, I think of it as this endless continuity. It is almost a complete engagement, and yet it is so dynamic that it is always “in the process” of being engaged.
There’s this idea that “one” has access to everything, all that has ever existed. But that is not just an idea; it is a sense – a smell, a quality to the nature of connectedness.
There’s still the personality, and of course because there is absolutely nothing wrong with the personality.
There’s just a sense of being beyond the capacity that one originally set out with in the life, and perhaps a sense of connectedness to all the other lives that came before, including the soul’s journey.
There’s this sense of not knowing what’s ahead, but being nearly absolutely certain, most of the time, that this gift of life keeps giving to us, to me, to everyone. There’s this sense of constantly being in reception with source. There’s a deep relationship with the cosmos and with the pain and suffering of the world, but not in a way that is gripping or feels identifying. There’s a sense of ‘coming and going’ and it just sort of improves over time. The witness who is watching is not really the subject, and there really is no object, but it is the peacefulness of center-point, and the culmination of pointlessness.
The emotions get deeper; the connections with others become richer. People in your family that you may have thought you didn’t “get along with” show you their spiritual love for you. Disagreements on the personality level do not affect the deep nature of the connection. The connections deepen. Family members start to feel understood and “seen” by you – as simultaneously the experience is mutual, and love enters where it the illusion was it was not. The veils on relationships keep lifting.
Awakening is a process – for this being it started in 2007, but the blueprints for it where there all along. The circumstances leading up to it, and in the beginning required a lot of releasing, a lot of acceptance into the path of the unknown. Meanwhile, all the support shows up. It can be rocky at times, even extremely difficult and painful, but ultimately awakening is the most brilliant gift to consciousness. It’s the kind of thing that spreads for those who are ripe and ripening. The clarity is what reigns, rises, and spreads, breaking up all the dross of thought, conditioning, and aberrant energy patterns. Awakening is final, but it isn’t done. It is like a seal that has opened and the energy from the container is decompressing over time.
Note: When I saw Barbara’s challenge show up in my inbox, I immediately penned the words above; it literally took me only about 2-3 minutes, if that. My own clarity on the prompt – as I experienced it unto myself – was surprising!
Next in the sequence is Julianne Victoria with Through the Peacock’s Eyes.
Lift, Lift, Lift
First, there is a bottom
“Where is it, toes?”
Reach for it,
Reach for it.
“Beneath you.”
Feel for it, low, low, low.
Go deep.
Going deeper, feeling for
the spaces within the spaces,
“Where is the root of this
space?”
She says she doesn’t know where it
is, but she’s found “Planet 9
on the
news.
The news that people miss.
When news is
speculative, uncertain, eager
More interest, please,
but it doesn’t get enough ~ not enough hype.
(It’s actually too unusual to be too newsworthy.)
Meanwhile, some telescope gropes in the night
for physical proof of our maths.
“Ok, what are we lifting?”
Our own personal sky.
That cross we bear.
It doesn’t exist anymore, so we are lifting it
off the planet.
Roots anchor so far down beneath her
toes. The roots of the roots of the roots
told her so.
Expansive, grounded, open and free.
is how WE are meant to be.
As Black As Hell, As Dark As Night ~ February 1st – 7th, 2016
I really appreciated the author’s thoughts on this week. Pluto is very, very strong right now and we have the ability to slough off a lot of factors limiting our awareness. Excellent post. ❤
Aeolian Heart's avatarAeolian Heart Readings
This week offers a grandiose opportunity to observe a dramatic metamorphosis. Agonizing though it may be, there is much beauty in the process! Let yourself be reborn, reinvented, or revivified.
The Moon is in Scorpio on Monday, conjunctMars, which creates an internal dialogue where you may feel overstimulated by dreams of conquest, just as you are simultaneously feeling thwarted by insecurity. This Moon/Mars conjunction creates an emotional environment where hungry ghosts wander, searching for their souls in dark reflecting pools.tumblr_lx8x9qMdJr1qg39ewo1_500With Mercury still conjunctingPluto at the beginning of the week, the urge to throw off all the dead weight in your life will become a tenacious instinct. This deadweight may include bad habits, thankless jobs, or draining people. It is essential that you learn to proceed with no more obligations, contracts, or promises that do not promote your well being, lest you get sucked into a vortex that…
A little humor… ? & Shadows
Ye with noble goals!
Today is not January 19th! It is a Monday, and it is January 25th 2016! Yes, it’s Mercury’s stationing direct period. When do you feel the effects? You tell me! 3 days +/- Which means: ________ ? Symbols and non-sequiturs.
On the lighter side – as we rock forward onto Mercury’s funny shadow. I saw K9 from (the OLD DR. WHO)’s image on my wall next to my night table last night. This oughta be a fun and wacky Mercury retracing its steps forward-style. After all, why not?! Get your tech on! I’m awaiting the arrival of my lens mount so I can hook up my old lenses onto my new camera.
Exuberant Full Moon in Leo, February 14, 2014
Here’s a blast from the past, an old post of mine on Leo Full Moon. Roar with playfulness!
Ka Malana - Fiestaestrellas.com's avatarFiesta Estrellas
This full moon is at 27 Leo with the Sabian symbol for, “Daybreak – the luminescence of dawn in the eastern sky.” All year so far we’ve been heralding new beginnings—and OH it does continue. This beginning is more about your individual flare. What is it that only you can contribute, that no one else can? Simply by virtue of being yourself—you offer your energy and your services—your presence, your individuality is part of ALL that is. Your ability to ‘be present’ is your gift to creation.
I’ve never really identified with my Leo Sun-sign, even though, in part I did more-so when I was a child. When I was a child, I was rather uninhibited. A full moon in Leo with sun in Aquarius is a time when my solar energy and my ascendant path are highlighted. Perhaps it was the attention to the…
#Blesstival WAVE & Many Blessings
Good Morning!  “Blessing is the Art of Harvesting the Wisdom of the Invisible World.” John O’ Donohue. I’d like to add that sometimes the blessing is written on the white-board. But I will get to that later. First a short story:
While decidedly joining in the #Blesstival wave at Sophia’s Children on January 10, and preparing a blessing post to reverberate into our resonate cyber field, immediately the words of John O’ Donohue came to mind from his Beannacht/Blessing. There’s not one year’s transition, in recent years, that I have not seen this poem or heard it spoken. So, I wanted to bring it here, just to be sure it continues to lead in my heart and mind in the coming days.
On the day when
the weight deadens
on your shoulders
and you stumble,
may the clay dance
to balance you.
And when your eyes
freeze behind
the grey window
and the ghost of loss
gets in to you,
may a flock of colours,
indigo, red, green,
and azure blue
come to awaken in you
a meadow of delight.
When the canvas frays
in the currach of thought
and a stain of ocean
blackens beneath you,
may there come across the waters
a path of yellow moonlight
to bring you safely home.
May the nourishment of the earth be yours,
may the clarity of light be yours,
may the fluency of the ocean be yours,
may the protection of the ancestors be yours.
And so may a slow
wind work these words
of love around you,
an invisible cloak
to mind your life.
As John O’Donohue’s reverberated in my mind for several days, I was delighted to awake and see that Jamie had posted some of his words yesterday, “Take Refuge In…”
So as I sat to pen my contribution to the #blesstival wave, I thought further about the photograph that I had taken at the local gym last night. It came across to me as a blessing, and I was inspired to share it with our readers. I wasn’t sure how I would tie it together, but then I realized ~ when I saw Jamie’s post this morning ~ there’s a reminder to me that all has already been set together, and our blessing is to simply illustrate the beauty put before us through our living and joining in!
May this year be as magical and sparkly for you as it has been for me! This year and always!
Useful Surface Tension
Fire of love
consumes the rotten,
putrid mess
of Autumn
From deep Winter’s
fiery hearth.
She anoints us with a
peculiar oil.
So that we can really burn
away what has come before us,
and hardened.
Loves beads are hot
and have memories
of surface tension.
All corrupted thoughts
are doused out
and consumed by this
ancient moon, again.
We have come clean
and can walk on water.
Life in Dialogue
Living is in our actions.
It is in our breaths,
our footsteps,
our pulses.
When we give a word, we extend our hands.
When we open our eyes to the written word,
we open up our ears, too.
When we read, we lend our shoulders.
When we read, we become tripods upholding a vision
Opening and closing
at just the right time,
to let in the light –
and just enough,
and not too much.
at once.
We      are       book-stands
for the young –
supporting small hands everywhere.
Let us support the growing, the honest, the innocent; the undefined.
The process.
*****
My life is long-lived and ripe.
I want to grow around you and all through you.
I am the vine of life.
Enjoy me speaking with you, through you.
Divining with you.
Together WE are God and Goddess.
Let none claim which is which.
For I am a witch who will not tell.
Ringing in Peace & Friendship in 2016, 108 times, in a “9” year.
This New Year is off to a good start. The manifestation maps drawn during the 21st of December during our winter solstice celebration are quite ALIVE. The energy has been building for some time now, and it’s delicious.
In 2016, I’m going deeper into my shamanic practice, and diving deeper into my “Kung Fu.” It’s almost time for the new trimester, and I’ll be working alongside a new team. Meanwhile, I’ll be experimenting with new ways to communicate my astrological fun, and engaging more with my photography.
UPCOMING! I have a planned sabbatical (with travel!)
and guess who’s coming along with?!
you ARE 🙂
More music in 2016, lots of people to play with and won a raffle for free lessons in 2015.
So, it’s a truly abundant life.
At the moment, we have visitors here, and their company is delightful.
***********************************************************************
Welcome, Welcome, Welcome
to all my NEW readers.
Thank YOU
To all my existing readers:       You are SO loved!
Thank you for being so patient with me, as I have been very busy creating a lot of space for an even more eventful year to come. I’m looking forward to sharing with you as Spirit moves me. In the meantime, I am truly enjoying reading your blogs; and I LOVE Fiestaestrellas.com – so Thank you to everyone for your visits here and support!!!!!  You make me feel welcome in my own house. It feels good to be loved, too. I see T-shirts in Fiestaestrellas’ future. My blog has brought me the most wonderful satisfaction and inspired connections – it makes me feels so AT HOME you have no idea (or maybe you do.  I think you do. Yeah, you know it 😉 )
My growing community here on WP, and in my daily life, brings me so much joy and contentment. Mr. Fiesta and I are thrilled that this year we will be literally, “Ringing in the New Year.” I hope you don’t mind, Fimnora, but I was inspired by your Music Medicine and wanted to share it – not to mention I have already been really enjoying the music.
SO please read and listen here 🙂, and then I’ll get back to my story:
This year, we RING IN the NEW YEAR – and I want every one of you to be with us!
The history of the Yokohama Frienship Bell, by Masahiko Katori
The citizens of Yokohama, Japan presented the Friendship Bell to San Diego in May 1958 as part of the Centennial Celebration of formal relations between that country and the United States. It also served to mark the establishment of the sister city relationship between San Diego and Yokohama, which is the first such affiliation on the West Coast.
The bell itself stands 6-feet high and weighs in at almost two and one-half tons. The words “Bell of Friendship” are inscribed on it in both English and Japanese. Like other traditional Japanese bells, the Friendship Bell has no clapper inside. It is rung instead by being struck with a large wooden ram that is suspended horizontally from two v-shaped chains in the bell house. To ring the bell, the ram is pulled back with a lanyard and then released, which causes it to strike a specially raised surface on the bell. The bell house is typical of those found in Japan. It is open on four sides and surrounded by a moat.
During the dedication ceremony in December 1960 eighteen traditional gongs were struck for good luck, in accordance with Japanese custom. Among those taking part in the ceremony was Saburo Muraoka, a driving force in the Sister City program. Over the years the bell has become a popular spot for groups and individuals to visit and take pictures, and it is regularly tolled on New Year’s eve.
When I was in Japan in 2001, I enjoyed ringing for the Kami. I’m reconnecting this year with what is and always has been: my connection to the land.
Random Fact:
Did you know that the molecule benzene was first thought to be ouroboros in a dream? In 1865, August Kekule had a dream that unlocked its atomic structure. (Michio Kaku, 2014)
Here’s to your dreams! Here’s to a New Year – and to the existence of timelessness.
Finally, Crickets
Crickets have been plentiful in my life since my husband and I joined up in Pennsylvania and made our way across the country to what eventually became our new home in California. The first cricket that visited was my Nana – she gave me a benevolent “send off” from my Pennsylvania life. Then, a beautiful cricket was “there for me” when I wrote my admissions essay for graduate school, and began working on what will eventually be a doctorate degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine. Please don’t hold your breath, because I am going to be taking my time… It’s good to breathe, anyways 😉 Lots of breathing in 2016…
To wrap it up, crickets have been (lots of them now!) with US since we moved into our new home in 2015. They have been playing in the water of my Towergarden. The Towergarden is a project to honor my Italian roots and to always having a garden, wherever I am. You are welcome to purchase one at the link, and join in our garden fun.
To all who READ herein,
MAY all the BLESSINGS of this NEW YEAR be yours to Manifest however you WISH in alignment your highest and best good, for the peace and prosperity of ALL.
